The only downside of this drama that is happening around Stephano joining EG is that incontrol is glued to the forums and has constant urges to post while nobody else in his team gives a fuck about what people say.
Stephano leaving Millenium, [possibly] to EG - Page 70

Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything.

money earned isnt as important as prestige. you can win tons of minor little cups but nobody cares. when was puma's last major victory? NASL last year? EG curse alive and well.

I dont think its only money that is driving him anymore, probably was like that last year, but he is not participating in all the small cups anymore etc. He is now aiming more to become the best and to be recognized as one of the best, he also want to participate in the GSL, taht si not where you want to go to make quick money (Ofc the prizes are huge, but its so damn hard winning it!!).

Not so true for SC2 unless you count players achievements (before joining) and not team achievements. Its a big overstatement to me.

Unless obviously the only deciding factor for players these days is who gets first place

No doubt about that ![]() I think it was around the time when Stephano just left a tournament or did not show up to a teamleague because he felt it was to late for him? I don't have anything against any of the EG-Players. But the constant advertising of their sponsors gets sooooo on my nerves, i will never ever buy a can of Monster, I have seriously grown a physical disgust for that stuff whiteout ever having had even a single sip ^^. EG just shouts corporate hore/sellout at me and i really, really dislike that... I know why the players do it, i understand it, i still dislike it and therefore really dislike EG (well, mainly the management). That does not make me (or anyone else) dumb, stupid or naive like some here seem to think. Btw: Mindlessly putting loads of money into a sport has already killed for instance the first(?) American Soccer league, which had to restart "small".

They're depending on the money from their sponsors, so of course they do everything they can to show Monster and Co that their investment was worth the price.

May want to check your facts regarding player achievements AFTER joining EG. It's okay to criticize and hate on teams (EG in this case) but at least make the effort to be factually correct.
