I really hope they don't play all the games in one day, still too tight of a schedule in my opinion but excited nonetheless.

WTF, this is awesome. Any GSL being played on the foreign scene is awesome. People are complaining about the lack of preparation time, yet MLGs are always huge events that everyone loves?

The thing is, we love both, because they are different kind of tournament; we're complaining because GSL is taking away that difference that made them unique.

There are people that love watching UFC and WWE, because they different kind of entertainment; and this is like UFC switching to the drama-centric story driven fighting, it's stupid.

I don't care as much about that, more the fact that this potentially forces 8 out of 10 out of 32 players to play 2 tournaments.

I care about the single hardest, most prestigious tournament of SC2 losing its prestige due to some business decision and yet another 3-day weekend tourney

Yeah they'll have less preparation time but I don't think it's such a big deal, they will "prepare to having less preparation"

They will play worse matches. How can that ever be a good idea? :s

Look, it will be epic, not as epic nor hyped as GSL normally is.

However, it will be epic. And all of you poopy pants can call it [b]The "Gauntlet" GSL". Itll have less prestige, but its neccesary with wcs

Foreigner team: Naniwa, Stephano, Nerchio, Thorzain, Sase/Major/Ret/Sen

Korean team: Taeja, MC, Leenock/Symbol/DRG/ Squirtle/Seed/MKP
The only two players who will DEFINATLY be on the Korean team are Taeja or MC

Unless they go by GSL results only like last time.

I would gladly accept a weekend tournament WCS so this wouldn't have to happen.

This. Who knows how much time they simply spend watching the VODs of their opponents. Really, I can't imagine the games being as great as the last couple seasons.

It's not gonna lose its prestige because a single season is played in a different format. I agree that it's odd and it may affect the quality of the games, but it's done, and whatever, hope for the best. Most likely next season is gonna be normal.

This sounds incredibly stupid. Please let someone in charge realize how bad of an idea this is and change it. This is not how GSL is meant to be played.

BTW anyone who doesn't realize how silly this is really does not understand anything about leagues like GSL and how they are meant to be played.

I don't care if they can handle the pressure or not - the decision to do this is still bullshit.

There is a reason why GSL is pretty much the only tournament I follow really close and this completely takes away everything I love about it.

Depends, they could end up playing better with all the adrenaline flowing. Plus they don't play that much to begin with, it's like two bo3s and one bo7 at most for the two finalists, like I said they'll be just fine.

Not sure about the GSL being played there but, the return of the World Championship is awesome!

Nah, you like the GSL because they have the best players and Tastosis, has nothing to do with the format. They'll have all that, just more exciting but shorter.

It's not that bad. A better analogy would be Wimbledon switching from grass to clay.
