I feel like this is IPL arms-racing MLG, since Raleigh is going to have WCS North America and probably KeSPA players in pools (since there's still unannounced 'TBA Players'). They wanna do something to put themselves back over the top and so they're doing IPL5, GSL WC, and GSL Ro8-Finals. It's just too much, and it's GOING to backfire.

Wasn't the change of format to a longer season to make each championship more meaningfull? This ruins the prestige of GSL by making it closer to every other tournament that is hosted over the course of a single weekend. I don't want a GSL decided by who is able to function the best playing with jetlag and IPL5.

Worst idea ever; I don't mind if it's just the finals, but GSL MUST let their players prepare days ahead for games, that's the whole selling point of their tournament. If we wanted another weekend figure-things-out-on-the-spot type tournament, we would of just watched MLG/HSC etc.

This is so stupid. The thing that separates GSL from any other tournament is the preparation taken for each of the matches and this ruins it.

hey hey wait. MLG already showed how disastrous it is to host two tournaments on the same weekend. We have no details yet on IPL 5, and this leads me to believe that they're NOT going to do it over only one week-end. I think the people at IPL are smarter than repeating the obvious error their ompetitor has been blamed so much for.
