Finals would be awesome, but Ro8 and Ro4 and Finals in one weekend kinda removes the specialness of winning it, it'll just be a really fucking awesome LAN event, rather than a GSL. Plus don't let anyone from IPL touch the production, from what we've seen today at least they're not up to par.

I don't like it. They fucked up the TAC Finals pretty badly, but that's not even the probleme:

Not sure if I'm a fan of GSL Ro8 --> Grand Finals being condensed into a weekend. I like the fact that players in the GSL have preparation time between their matches. Should be more interesting once the Ro8 players are determined. Now to wait and see how this all pans out. :S

Really dislike this, especially since everyone who has paid for the GSL season will now have the format of the ro8 to the finals changed.

Imagine if the last OSL had the ro8 and finals all in a weekend. How awful would that have been?

This is strong dislike. GSL was different cause of the different format. If they're gonna do that, it shouldn't be a GSL Code S anything, just make it a separate tournament.

I think the GSL games are really going to suffer with this and it is not for the best interest for the players as they wont be able to have the same prep for an opponent. I love having GS/GSTL out of korea but this is really unfair for the players and kinda steals the magic of the GSL as both korean league pride themselves on having these great games as both players metagame each other and realease new strategies for an opponent they know they are faceing well in advance

Like someone else said, GOM's intention is probably to mess around with the format to see if less preparation can lead to better finals, especially after the last finals that left many disappointed.

MLG finals have historically been considerably better than GSL finals after all.

The only good MLG finals I can think of are DRG vs Marineking and that's because of who they are and not the format.
