Yeah I'm actually less interested in this season of GSL.

Preparation games are what make GSL awesome. If I wanted a lot of games to happen quickly with no time to get hyped between games as a huge test of endurance I'd watch MLG or IPL or IEM or everyothertournamentthatdoesitlikethisalready.

World championship I'm ok with in this style since it's hard to organise people. GSL Ro8->Finals I'm not happy with. I don't know if I'm part of a vocal minority or there's a large contingent of people with the same outlook as me =/

Meh, turning the final matches of the GSL into a weekend tournament sounds like a terrible idea to me. Hopefully this has just been forced by the tight schedule (WCS + 2 GSL seasons remaining) rather than being a deliberate choice.

IPL has shown itself to be the worst big-name producer of SC2 content, so i'm not excited about this.

Everyone is getting their panties in a bunch, regardless of the preparation time that makes GSL unique. IPL 5 will still be a amazing event with having GSL finals there.

In my opinion with the community feedback I do hope they just make it the GSL finals solely along with the World Tournament.

This is stupid. Prep. time is what makes GSL good. Otherwise, it's just an MLG upper bracket, pretty much.

Oh I agree. IPL5 will be an amazing event with having the GSL finals there.

Ro 8 and Ro 4 though =/ That's actually my concern.

I totally want to see the finals there though. GSL finals at Blizzcon had THE best crowd. Honestly bar none.

The more I think about it, I think the whole Korea vs World thing is great, but having the RO8 GSL happen at a weekend tournament is a horrible idea. I really hope that IPL changes it to RO4 to Finals, because that is more reasonable as a whole. It presents a huge problem to players at IPL5, the Korea vs World AND GSL (Potentially players like TaeJa, MKP, Polt, HerO, etc), who have to balance THREE events over a weekend. If it goes like this, it will be pure chaos and screw up those players horribly.
