Also, my Korean audio for NA client got replaced by English and I know I won't be able to change it back but has anybody lost the color mods or any other mods?
pretty sure the low graphics is just a bug, its like medium or high, i dont see why they would change the graphics
It's not a bug. The engineers at Blizzard were hoping to make low graphics look better at no cost to performance, but they kinda failed in the performance department so far.
How often do the new physics come up with current units dying to WoL attacks? I feel like maxed battles in team games will go from unplayable to having to be measured in how many seconds between each frame. @_@

Problem: Pros use low settings of the game because they can see burrowed units better/other such things to improve their game play. Which matters to Blizzard engineers how? tournaments still broadcast stuff in ultra..but whatever
Why did they mess with game feel... everything seems so dark and the minimap is unwatchable. The menu changes are barely to the better but the game feel changes are simply unexplainable... it seems to me that they just messed shit up for the sole purpose of saying they did something. It really just complicates things and adds a couple of bugs that won't let me play for a couple of days .... Diablo 3 style.

People expressing concerns in this area aren't just “whining about change”. The new UI removes functionality and statistics that players have come to expect from the StarCraft II experience.
*Career Wins have been removed *Snapshots for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 have been removed *Team games have been lumped into one “Team” category. *Current League is bugged (Example: Says your current league is Diamond when you're in Platinum). *Lots of un-used spaced *Text feels flat and boring *Your league information can no longer be directly accessed from the Profile screen (clicking the league icon)
I see absolutely no reason why these changes were necessary seriously pissing me off right now... don't feel like playing and can't see this attitude changing any time soon.
Quick question, it's just come into maintanence time in EU, what do we have to do to start the patch process? Just load up sc2? I'm loading it up and it's not doing anything.

Anyone wanna make a guess about what percent of the people who haven't played the game taking a look at the different versions would assume 1.4.3 preceded 1.5.0. My guess is around 10%.

but i dont fucking want it to look better.... i want it to look basic and what not. Why not add a medium economy or some shit for fucks sake
Ideally, the updated graphics wouldn't have affected performance at all. Even more ideally, they should make the game run even better on low.
But alas, they kinda dropped the ball this time. I noticed the performance issues back in the 1.5 beta, and I thought they would've fixed it by now, though now we see that this patch was very rushed and is so buggy as a result. I guess it's another reason why we shouldn't be rushing Blizzard for features lest we receive them full of bugs.
I hope they add a "very low" setting in a future update if they can't fix these performance issues.
seems to me like the game is doing worse performance wise, this is specially annoying given that i let the installer do the update system configuration thing.
Why is even harder now to look at what my record is... They even sort "Career Summary" with "Highest Rank" by default first. Blizzard must really be thinking that we need their UI to tell us that we're doing A-OK.
To sum it up for the hour or two I spent exploring:
Looks worse "at a glance" and darker too. Not sure why they needed to change some of the theme designs artistically instead of simply improving the UE, GUI.
Arcade setup is different, not sure if its better or worse yet. The big issue right now is that lots of custom maps are broken after the patch, which is going to affect the rating system (things like, hotkeys not working, pinging the minimap not possible anymore, etc).
Chatrooms seem to be better, but need more improvement on getting to the right chatrooms for the right maps and so on easily (instead of having to open the map and then open the chatroom, etc). Maybe implement some sort of recently opened chats etc.
Everything seems like it was run through a photoshop burn tool. Minor visual changes that haven't affected anything, just weirded me out. As far as UI goes, I'm indifferent. I rebound all of my hotkeys to 'Quick Match' and just hit F1 and ladder.
