Seems weird. I wonder if Naniwa knows what he is doing.. This feels stupid, but I hope it is not.

That or Quantic made it sound like naniwa left on his own. But oh, people always believe everything they read.

T_T poor guy. gotta make a new smurf account or smth... I suggest using "followliquidretontwitter"

btw to all the people who are saying he'll join a korean team, that would almost certainly mean taking a huge pay cut (unless he's joining a kespa team which I doubt very much). Probably SK or mtw, imo - or maybe eg.

Nah, I'd be willing to bet he left cause they were about to fire him sooner or later, their relationship must have been shit from the get-go since the probe rush incident.

I can bet he is joining a SC1 BW Team not sure which one but Im a betting man

I will take this bet anyday of the week!

BW teams hold a higher standard for their players. They won't go near a player like Naniwa.

He's arguably the best foreigner, and currently 8th best in the world. That's pretty high standards.

by Standards I didn't mean playing results. I meant personality wise. Kespa teams are not going to want a whiny BM team hopper with a bad reputation. 0% chance a Kespa team touches him. Also he is not 8th best in the world -.- yes he has proven he is a solid player by staying in Code S, but he is not top 8 in the world....

So you have another metric but wins in the global starcraft league? You have a "good-o-meter" at home with your own top list? He's ro8 GSL so he's top 8.
It's such a pity SC2 is such a young sport that being bad at the game but good at doing interviews make teams more likely to pick you up than a player that's sick good at the game but bad at interviews.

Two decent runs in Code S doesn't make you a top 8 player.... Inca made it to the finals for fuck sake.

And it's not that he is just bad at interviews... its his personality as a whole. He has a terrible reputation in Korea.

Top 8 = top 8. If you win the world championship in football, you're considered the best until the next championship. I don't see how starcraft is different.

Take a look at Wayne Rooney when it comes to terrible PR. Imo conduct shouldn't matter as much as results and skill when it comes to sports. That's just what I think though. I'm sure there are tonnes of people who would prefer the American wrestling approach rather than a legitimate sport.

Didn't IdrA hate HuK too before?

Anyway I hope for StarTale, I would be cool if he stayed in korea and practise and maybe one day reach a code S final

IdrA hated HuK for the way he played the game, not for his personality. He's actually stated that they got along outside of the game before they were teammates.

But Huks so lovable and cute Naniwa... not so much (no offense lol)

yes because all lovable and cute people are cocaine addicts...lmao.

I think that naniwa will join team Grubby though..

No Korean team is going to pick up Naniwa. They have many players in Code B that are better than him, and they're not sending any of them to foreign tournaments. Don't think they would spend the money to fly Naniwa around. If Naniwa doesn't find a Korean team to stay, his skill will decrease and will probably be eliminated from the GSL next season.

Don't wanna sound like a Naniwa fanboy, but alot of code b players that are better? Sound like you just don't like the guy. He has gotten to ro8 twice now...

Naniwa receiver GSL bailout seeds 5 or 6 times, iirc. If any code B player had received that many free seeds, he would've won a GSL title already.

So any player who has been in the GSL Code A/S five or six times has won a GSL title?

Even the Koreans admit Naniwa is really good so maybe it's time to stop referencing the age old Code A record.

How many times did he lose in Code A? 3? Maybe if he gets a 3rd ro8 in a row next season they'll seed him directly in the semifinals.

I don't get it.
People can say what they want but Ro8 twice in a row is pretty indisputable proof that he's Code S level. The fact that he lost a few times in Code A ages and ages ago is of no relevance to that fact.

SC2 is pretty random. Any code B can beat any code A or S and vise versa. It's just a matter of whoever receives the most opportunities and free seeds. No players on Earth got seeded into tournametns more than Naniwa, Idra, Huk and Stephano. Once you've reached a level, you can beat anyone on any given day with SC2. Getting hyped up and bailout seeds are what makes the difference.

I agree for the most part except the stephano part. What tournaments has he been seeded in ?

At the top of Stephano's hypes, I remember almost every tournament has had his name signed up. He even quit a lot before his matches and people were arguing whether to give him free seeds so he can drop out at the last minute again.

Well, he doesn't like him, that does not mean they couldn't be on the same team. As far as I know SK has no team house so they wouldn't even live together. However Naniwa needs a team house I think, so this speaks against SK.

Nevermind.

I think it'll be SK. He wants to go to events. Quantic can't send him to events. SK just ditched their 1.6 team, saving alot of cash.

So why aren't the code B players in code S? Why has MVP won 4 gsl code s titles, Nestea 3 and MC 2? Are they just better at rolling a dice? While there is a healty amount of competition and a few upsets here and there the better players are the ones who win the most tournaments and are consistantly in top 8. And we really don't have that many players that can brag about actually winning offline tournaments. Naniwa, Huk, Stephano and Idra are among those few, Thorzain is another. Which is why they have recieved seeds. Just like MC and Polt got seeded back into Code S. Because they friggin win. Alot.
