Most big name shows that didn't cost money to watch or sporting events were and still are broad-casted on these channels. So this is a pretty huge deal if what is said to be accurate in the OP. | ||

ESPN is a big name one now that you can usually stream the big name events if you have the right set up. If anything generating revenue from a broadcast on TV is all the more reason to provide a free stream for those who don't have access to CBS outside of the US or NA | ||

also, television is a dying breed, and as such investments and ventures will net little. the best bet would be to create partnerships with sponsors to include mention in commercial or short 10 min spots. esports WANTS people to be watching on the internet, and blowing shit up on social media; subsequently keeping up with emerging tech. | ||

I'm not sure I get this? TV is not going away any time soon even if internet content is on the rise. Esports wants as many eyes on it as possible and TV is definitely a way to get a lot more people watching that wouldn't otherwise. BW spread in Korea through TV stations I see no reason why SC2 would not be helped in a similar way here. | ||

Especially considering that there are still so many people who watch stuff just because its on TV. And some Starcraft Tournaments allready got 100k+ viewers that all knew how to tune in. Even if its not that hard to figure out its still requires a lot more then turning on the TV. | ||
