If you want the entire scope of how this is going to go, here it is:
"Alex and I decided it would be best for us to part ways"
"I don't have any current plans to join another team but that might change in the future"
/thread Except it was IdrA himself who approached JP to do the interview. If he really didn't have much to say then why request it in the first place?

Thank you! Been waiting for this since I heard about it and saw the post was 20 hours ago on reddit.

Get over it, RL works on actual money.

Because the interview contained the WCS game of Idra v Polt, MLG claimed the video which is preventing us from getting our daily dose of e-sports drama.
#MLGkillingE-sports
+ Show Spoiler +it was automated, not a malicious thing according to jp

Wow.
IdrA, the MAN who inspired my name.
The BRAND I chose to follow faithfully.
The HERO I watched tear up Koreans in WoL.
RETIRED professionally?
T_T
+ Show Spoiler +The opening monologue was really "Jerry Springer" esque. Kinda creepy.

Goddamn JP gets all the scoops!

Wow, IdrA handled this really well, IMO. The announcement came at a weird time in the video but it had to come eventually. Well, gl to IdrA, thanks JP for this!

Yeah, JP kinda accidently blew when he asked the wrong question about the sports psychologist. :b Great interview though JP! Good job.
GL IdrA. Glad it worked out well for everyone involved. You seem happy and excited for the future. Thanks for all the great games!

Good interview from JP, and while I'm not an Idra fan, he gets props for giving this interview and handling it well. JP was "no fluff", and the questions could be hard.
GL in the future, Idra. Looking forward to a TB/Idra cast. (Would be really interesting.)

much <3 jp for bringing this out so fast.
idra: always been a fan and am glad to expect more casting from you. you and incontrol casting wcs na, make it happen.

Idra a smart man, he'll become a succesful caster no question about it. Regarding his stream, I wonder if he's going to keep playing Z or switch to random. Idra playing 2 base all-in with protoss and explain his move through commentaries would be good fun.

Greg seems generally pumped about the future and I am excited to see what he does. He was clearly not challenged playing the game and wanted to do something else for a while now. Being let go by EG, liberated him to do his own thing. Hopefully his haters don't follow him.

Great job by JP, and I feel like Idra came across very well here.
|
Some things just don`t add up. He hates the game so he`s going to commentate it? This makes no sense.
Well done interview, but his responses leave much to be desired.

If a guy wants to take a step back and do other things, let them...save the $$ and recruit another play who is performing xD Thanks JP great interview! I think he probably wanted to step down sooner but the money stopped him from doing that. When you are making good money you will have a hard time leaving a job, even if you don't like it. Probably the reason for all the rage we saw, he was being forced to play a game he didn't enjoy every day. That would wear on anyone.
I'm sure he will have no problem getting casting gigs, nor will he have any problem making money if the twitch numbers today are anything to go by. On top of EG paying his rent, he is in a pretty good place still. He can milk SC2 a bit longer and retire with more money and go back to school or something.
