Think about how long it took Grubby, GOAT of war3, to get decent at sc2. It took him a full year to stop losing to people like Artosis, and this was back when the game was much fresher and everyone was comparitivly much worse at it. That flash can do this well in two weeks is nothing short of amazing.
I could spend a while with that smile

I don't see any connection with graphics settings and playability. There are pros that stream with both high and low settings.

There is connection if you play zerg. But as terran you are right .

And whats the connection as zerg? Nestea plays low, Stephano med-high, does it make any difference? Nope. All up to personal preference.

Nice try; it is truly so convincing when out of all your 400 posts, you have a single, inane post in the Broodwar forum and rest in sc2 forum.

Wipe that smug smile off your mug.

i commented on flash in one sentence. one.

the rest was for bw elitists and brainwashing the sc2 community for months that their game is so easy a monkey from bw could dominate it.

now we see that's not the case, so how bout you let everyone enjoy it for a minute, ok? ;-)

are you even comprehending the intrigue quote that you proudly brandish as your sig? he says "with a latency of a few months."

To be fair, 'latency' is too big a word to fit in so closed a mind.

i must've really hit a soft spot for someone as respectable as you to resort to such common ways of trying to insult complete stranger over the internet... twice! )))

i happily receive your truth induced rage.

Yeah, actually, you have. And its not the whole sc2>BW argument, its the fact that you dont bother using any fucking logic. You keep saying 'ooo bw players are shit', guess what, MVP already proved you wrong. Nestea proved you wrong. MC proved you wrong. Now someone comes in whos raping face against grandmasters after ONE month of 50% sc2 practice 50% bw practice, and you say "LOL LOOK AT THE NEWBIE"

???

Where is the logic? Which sc2 pro actually picked up the game and started winning tournaments within 2 weeks?
Name me one, go ahead.

creep on the higher quality is both distracting and takes a lot out of your pc, that's why most zergs prefer the game on lower settings

I guess he was referring to creep, which can be a machine killer on some systems with settings set too high.

I don't understand why posts like that keep coming up in this thread. If you were watching the same videos without knowing it's Flash, I'm quite positive that you wouldn't have the same impression you've got now.

That actually is really impressive... I thought he was playing a random high masters player but Apocalypse is really good. I've seen Apocalypse take games off Thorzain so..

Apocalypse did beat GuMiHo(GSL semi-finalist) 2-0 on some team league.

yes, because you can't love broodwar as a game and korean scene as a whole if you don't mingle with the elitists on TL. ))))

I am aware of that, I myself play zerg and can't stand creep on high shaders (affects the way creep looks the most with high terrain setting). I just dont see a straightforward connection to an extent of making almost a RULE out of it.

Second game was pretty sweet to watch, looked pretty solid. The MULE macro could of helped him even more, even though he smashed his opponent.

Flash has never really been known for his super fast speed. His decision making, skill, and critical thinking are what got him to the top of the BW food chain.

"super fast" in terms of broodwar. His apm in broodwar usually floated around 350 apm, versus someone like Jaedong who had 400 apm typically.

Its still really high (and higher than most foreigners)

Actually if I recall he was only around 275-300 average, not even 350 ish. At least I think?

Depends on the timeframe. In the 2009-2010 season I rarely saw anything below 300. His final against Movie were between 310-360. The WCG game against Jaedong on Tau Cross was ~320 (there were replays) and I believe that was his slowest of the series. I seem to remember that he was slower the year before that and maybe slower during his injury.\

And ofc 330-350 isn't particularly fast either, for the best player in the world. Hiya was between 350 and 400 when he streamed after his retirement.

Is it actually confirmed that the tvt was against apocalypse? The games were decent but not exceptional play, no doubt he will improve as he gets more practice.
