Also still no LAN. I don't care about it but a lot of people do. Seconded. I think Blizzard is starting to lose touch after its huge success with WoW. WoW just became downhill ever since 3rd expansion came out and SC2 is just a crappy version of SC1 with better graphics and interface (not even that great compared to the other games that came out in 2010). They should really step it up in HoTS or I don't think I will buy anymore of their games.
you're missing the point, we actually get the features now! even if WoL was a sub par product, now we get the actually functional sc2 interface we all wanted! sure blizzard was shitty by not doing this in the first place, but at least we're getting it now!!

Better two years late than never.

I don't think they'll add LAN since the major issue already has an alternative solution, even if it's not the most ideal.

Meh, I'd rather have Wings of Liberty in July 2010, rather than November 2012. I wish the features were in the original, but seriously, I'm glad they didnt delay SC2 any more than they did. Problems and all, the last two years of SC2 have been a blast.

While I'll def. have to purchase the expansion I can't help but hate Blizzard even more for being a company that makes money by screwing customers over.
These functions aren't something that you should get in an expansion, they are easy to implement and should've been patched into the game as soon as Blizzard realized people's demand for them (which should've been back in the beta of 2010).
I used to be happy to help fund Blizzard. Now I consider them a scourge of the gaming market, a company who's ideals must be fought for the sake of us gamers - and the only way a customer can fight is with his wallet.

They said they'd patch these functions into the game around the same time as they release Heart of the Swarm, not that these were going to be Heart of the Swarm features or even require the expansion. Most of these are just battle.net changes.
If you read their message, it's just timing, no other correlation.

So happy we're finally getting this :-)

Because this could happen all over again when LotV hits the shelves, this time my wallet stays where it is.

He can play the game There will always be people who complain- if a feature doesn't exist, or if it does then it came too late. It's true with map pools and basically everything in life.

wow resume from replays will be amazing! So sad to see games crash and miss out on what could have been. A necessary and great addition

Coming from console gaming and having to pay for Xbox Live and a new COD every 6 months, you won't see me complaining. As long as this will remain a good game for years to come, I don't mind paying $60 for the expansions.

I think some of these could be time better spent on bnet improvements. Some of these like unranked matchmaking or resume from replay are of course very good things. Heck the resume from replay almost makes up for lan.

So I don't have to upgrade my European and Korean accounts if I want to play HotS on different servers?
Thank god....

Features cost money. I'm going to nod that you are cynical. They don't pay an entire team of designers/artists/programmers millions of dollars to NOT release features that the community is begging for.
In fact, paranoid is probably a better word.
Which features Blizzard decided to focus on at the launch of WOL may have been the wrong ones - I, and most others (and probably retrospective Blizzard employees!) would agree on that. But to think that they just throw fucktons of money down the drain so they can give the impression of "listening to the community" later than sooner is absurd.

Honestly I'm happy to be getting things we should have had at release, but I'm still disappointed that the actual GAME is still so incomplete, and looks to continue to be incomplete solely so they can finish it in (hopefully) three more years with LOTV and get the game that should have existed in 2010.
