We won't need LAN really after these features plus the "players near you" feature they plan on releasing in 1.5 come out. It's pretty much all you can do other than LAN really, and I really don't mind it due to the fact that I would not have any usage for pure LAN anyway as not many of my friends play/are any good.
Maybe this will stop people from complaining about Blizzard and lack of LAN.
....... what? If Blizzard were less like Apple (and another thing I don't want to name) wanting to control everything the community would already have implemented all those features.

haha, you think a gaming community will ever be happy? Sure this is awesome, but give it a few months and you'll have a new list of big requests.
And like so many people pointed out, these "features" already existed in Battle.Net 1.0 with the exception of Multiplayer resume from replay and Unranked matchmaking. Better late than never I guess...
We're literally getting everything except LAN. Oh well. This is some goddamn good shit regardless. I just wish pros were provided some low-latency way of playing, especially in a game where missing a forcefield can lose you the game.
