I think his point is that it will make the macro skill slope steeper for all races.

Chances are Blizzard has been fiddling with B.net 2.0 as well. They're basically upgrading SC2's B.net to D3's, and then some.

Seeing how D3 bnet is failing all over the place I hope they fix stuff by then.

Cause Blizzard failed so hard at previous games....??

And now to work on the actual game balance itself....

OMG, they re introducing features the game should have had in alpha phase, this is so awesome, thx Blizzard!!!1

I know, and you must be kidding me with that statement. So you are saying that in sc1 it would make no difference to play with a friend in my same city than playing with a dude in another continent? Being p2p, it works exactly the opposite, my friend's computer is much much closer -> lower latency
Omegalisk wrote: Also, we have no idea why Blizzard didn't allow cross-region play, only that one con was lower pings.
I said it already, this -> $ When SC2 firsts came out, I asked why there was a South America region to tech support. They said 'for a better experience in gameplay and latency'. Bullshit. The South American servers were in the same place than the NA ones, in Nort America ! (they still are, as they are now merged)
Omegalisk wrote: And saying Bli$$ard is like saying M$; it may or may not be accurate, but either way is sounds douchey.
I have no idea what you are trying to say Its pretty obvious that all the region thing was about the money

I'm all for steeper skill slope for all races, but zerg is the only race where the "macro mechanic" is time based. Terran can drop mules or scan whenevery they have a chance, of course more efficient use is better but you don't waste energy, same with chrono, you don't waste energy if you don't use it cuz you can use it multiple times at once. But with zerg if you aren't injecting every time possible then you are wasting possible larva.
To raise the macro skill ceiling in SC2 all you have to do is remove MBS lololol

Shame on Blizzard for trying to make money with a high-quality product we've all enjoyed for the last two years straight.

Clearly, I mean, I spend $60 and got thousands of hours of enjoyment. Thousands of hours. Shame of them for wanting more money and not releasing a better product.
I mean with other games with a similar price point I get somewhere around 12-40 hours of enjoyment...wait...

Would be nice if the unranked match making could have settings like ZvP or whatever you want to practice. I often find it hard to learn a matchup specific build with some mindgame element since your friends "learn" the exploit after 1game so If you cant find 20 diffrent people just like that it's kinda tricky. Such a feature would be awesome and since it's unranked it's "fair" too. Remember seeing people on WGT and ICCUP just doing ZvZ or whatnot for practice.

I never said give it for free. I said don't try to charge me with nonsense and bullshit.
I guess you don't have friends in other places than your country, because guess what, this is region locked and you can't play with them ! Or maybe all people are rich and can buy 3 copies of the game to play on most regions...
I have a few buddies in Europe to play with and this retarded region locking won't let me.
But there's light at the end of the tunnel, the lock will be no more after 2 years of getting people's money for no real reason

I would make the energy cap lower to 50, so you can't pool as much, that's all.

Well old blizzard had 1 genius who told them to implement IRC into their game

Ask and ye shall receive. Thanks to the community for making it clear how badly we need these things and thanks to Blizz for listening.

Just want to say that we're all going to get dominated by Koreans with this new Global Play, and will there be any sort of language translation, because I think that would be useful for Global Play.
Apart from that, looks great!

I feel like its a safe bet that most of these features were stuff Blizzard wanted to put in for WoL but they just ran out of time which happens a lot when making a game.

Haha I can picture a lot of people's world crumbling when they get demoted

I can't jump on their crotch for getting around to implementing trivially easy-to-do stuff that should have been in from day one. Nevertheless, I'm glad they're finally doing it.
Not entirely sold on unranked ladder. I feel like normal ladder will turn into a ghost town if there's a "free" option.

I'm pretty sure global play means you can choose your server without making a new account. They're not going to put everyone on the same server, you have to keep in mind connections. It's why almost every game has multiple servers even if you can switch.
