I must be missing something here. How come he currently has 272 adjusted points? If I sum up the numbers of these 26 wins I get 280. Also, what were his two wins before these? He has 28 wins in total.
Edit:
Now that I think about it, he probably started with -8 adjusted points, not 0. So he probably lost 8 points somewhere before these 26 games.
Edit2:
It's not that his adjusted points are rising faster than his MMR, it's that his MMR is so low that he's getting the minimal capped amount of points possible for beating his opponents (with the exception of the one placement guy for which he got 23 points).

Edit3: This could indicate Astra is in a high skill Bronze tier where 0 points are quite high.

And no point showed up on the MMR graph - just wanted to check if I should continue or if there's something weird going on? can you give me the gameoutput? T_T I cleared the data from that one. I just played another game and nothing shows up on the graph when I use the analyzer A&D+, but it does show up with A&B (or no analyzer) thats normal d+ can not use every game. But the diffrence is importand. This rule filter something very special and is new. It should only hit in few cases. Can you give me the profile link of the account and track the gamedata in your logfile? its under: Sc2gears\User Content\Plugin file cache\mmr.plugin.MMRPlugin\log.txt
I have a A&D+ now so its fixed

This means that his MMR is at the initial value (possibly mid-Gold) and could be a clue as to the initial uncertainty range. I wanted to provide context for this game because otherwise it's a bad data point. It's actually far more relevant than we realize. - The game completed at around Wednesday, Jun 06 7:01am GMT (GMT+00:00) was against an AFK player, and matches are only posted to match history when both players have exited the game. This could introduce problems if a player doesn't immediately leave the game. For example, the 7+7 game actually finished before the 6+6 game, possibly throwing off the data. - The point gains have been extremely steady, which is somewhat unexpected. The match history actually looks like this: + Show Spoiler + 15(+15) 15(+15) 14(+14) 14(+14) 13(+13) 13(+13) 12(+12) 12(+12) 12(+12) 11(+11) 11(+11) 10(+10) 10(+10) 10(+10) 9(+9) 9(+9) 9(+9) 9(+9) 8(+8) 23(+23) (placement match player) 7(+7) 7(+7) 7(+7) 7(+7) 7(+7) 6(+6)
This is a little strange because even though MMR is climbing for each victory, points are apparently climbing faster. It would seem Astraflame has still not broken into the expanded matchmaking range yet either. You posted table like this before. I thought about them. If you are new and win like crazy we would expect +20 -24 games until you start loosing. But the data indicates the system dont care for the result. He gives you an uncertainty and just decrease it over gamecount. Very simple and not perfect but would give kind of good results for 90% of the players. E.g.: realskillchange + (Constant / gamecount) instead of a real sigma function that takes the result and the uncertainty into account.
Whatever it is, the effect is not big after x games. To test my prog i laddered my account down hold it at level , up , hold it there , up. hold it there. I did not feel a significant change in the system behaviour if start to win a lot of games in a row. However my account dont produce any good data in my tool because i use test versions that have many bugs. Reminds me, that i should delete my games from the database.
EDIT: Ah, notthat is right. I total forgot about the cap. The numbers comes from the cap-system not the real skill function.

That's correct. The actual point history was 15(+15) -10 15(+15) -10 -9 -9, or an actual starting point of -8 adjusted. Those two wins were accidental -- one was when I was still trying to drop the MMR, and the other was one where Insane didn't have data recording enabled. As for the Bronze tier, it does make sense, because it seems rather unlikely to me that it's possible to get into the very lowest Bronze tier after only 5 placement matches.

I just confirmed it is still possible to win 24 points, I just won 48 points (24+24) against a gold level player.
The leagues are locked now so I will try to play the most I can this week :D
Edit: Just confirmed it's possible to lose 0 points, just lost to my first platinum =(

So it's possible to win 24 and lose 0. Blizzard made it so 1 point is the minimum you can win. Anyone knows if you can still lose 24 points or is 23 the maximum now?

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but in the About & Help tab it says this:
-This tool collects data of PRESENT games. This means you have to let it run while playing. It does not work with replays!
Does this mean I need to click on Plugins->MMR Stats and have the window with the graph appear each time I run SC2 Gears in order for the plugin to calculate my mmr or will it calculate my MMR if I run SC2 Gears with the plugin enabled but the window displaying my mmr graph not open?
Thank you.

is the A&D+ really accurate? I'm currently 12-4 on ladder, but my MMR is sinking.

I've been seeing weird things with A&D+ as well, but decided just to play more with it it see how it goes.

Thank you. It runs when sc2gears run. No need for the gui to show up.

Its a guess and when you have few games played on ladder sigma is still in play and its way less accurate. D+ analyse game rows means good data about you in a row, without memoryscanner this rows are hard to get.

Here is mine: http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/293343/1/Mendelfist/
The graph looks like this:
![[image loading]](http://www.lysator.liu.se/~john/mmrstats.jpg)
It started off more or less correct, but somewhere round match 25 it got confused by something. Those 5 dots close to platinum are not correct.

@ Mendelfist i look into it
Am i right that all servers are locked at bonuspool 720 for master? i uplaoded the lock DB file now. So he cap the maxbonus at 720

I played my first promotion match for season 7, and it didn't get recorded onto the graph. But then I play my next match and it got recorded onto the graph. Does the application not record placement games?

My MMR plugin was working fine but then it just stopped getting info in the middle of a set of matches. I downloaded v3.6.2 but I still have the same problem. I cleared out my data but still no good.
The log says it's a issue with my memory. I'm on Windows XP. I had (before the errors) a lovely graph with myself, the opponent and the league MMR lines.
It'd be great if I could get the problem fixed.

No. There's something different this season. At first the in-game and on the web page bonus points kept increasing, even though the players could only use 720. Now it seems Blizzard fixed the in game display to be no more than 720, but the webpage is at 733 atm (EU) and rising (with 720 actually usable by players).
So long as the web page bonus pool keeps increasing, we just need to be aware that players who used up 720 bonus points are actually at 0, for algorithm B.

I couldn't figure out how to copy-paste from said program, so I had to retype it. I believe it's character-for-character identical, though.
I ran SC2Gears as both admin and normal user and the same thing happened. I'm in bronze league, and I'm aware that that means I may not have particularly useful data for a while. I played several games with it on, with SC2 started through SC2Gears. There is no registry, and especially not a windows registry, on a mac, so I was somewhat surprised to read you say in post 9 that it uses no system dependent functions.
You may also be surprised to hear that every time you write 'hole,' you actually mean 'whole'; 'hole' is something you dig in the ground.

The ramscanner doesn't work on mac. (from the help section: "-The ramscanner and the Registry reader only works on windows!")
Also, I finally got my bronze account out of playing bronzies. After 50 games, I'm playing silvers.
