Is it possible to get into gm even if 200 people are already in? O.O thought no one could get promoted to gm if 200 are already in. so you have to wait until someone drops out no?

Yes but people have continually been dropping out the past 1-2 weeks. Right now there are only 198 people in GM and yet I'm being denied. It seems to favor promoting people with fewer games as well as outright noobs (from my perspective).
There must be some odd condition I am not meeting.

FCLogan ;: Autocorrect is there for long time now. It search for mistakes in the data and mark them as such. To automaticly find a mistake it must be a 2 way mistake. Means, you have a spike in the data that comes back to normal again. Only this way you can be sure its a mistake and remove it. If you dont have a mistake it does nothing The correction is saved! so activate it once and closing the program, remove the mistake forever.
LaLuSh : Most likley there is no spot free. Even if GM dont hold 200 people does not mean there is a spot free. In fact there is never a spot free because it gets filled instant. There are "ghosts" in GM (players who should got the promoted to GM but did not play their game to get into it) You dont see them on the list and you dont see them dropping out, but they take a spot. Im not 100% sure about that but thats the only explanation that makes sense. Also People who did not play a game whole season and get promoted to GM after playing one is an indicator for it. Another indicator is, that GM is never full. There are allways spots "free".
You have to wait until someone drops out. I dont know if they take the highest MMR Master guys on the drop day or on a other day to decide who get the spot. Because of this, its way harder to get into GM in the middle of the season than in the start. Also keep in mind the GM line you see in the program is not like all others promotion lines. Its dynamic, so at the moment its a rought avg of low GM. The easiest way to get into GM is to play a account on high MMR and stop playing with it. At season start on GM day you play one single game and you are in because oyu are top 200 MMR on this day. Its kind of cheating the system but that what many people do. The GM system is just terrible designed.
PS: you can rightclick on the graph to automatic get a screenshot of it.

I'd bet that it is DNS issues on their side. The download link in the OP is working for me also.

This tool wont work for my EU account, it keeps saying needs a game with better data. I mostly play on EU. Any suggestions?

It is working now. Thanks a lot!

This graph doesn't look too good. Any ideas?

I did see about your "losing games" experiement and while mine isn't as bad i also had lots of jumps like that when i was on a winning streak. I would lose a lot of mmr for every loss and gain very little (even losing mmr or stay even at some wins). Seems to me that you are very much more likely to only play people in your league so if higher/below that it gets a bit weird: After I got promoted (which happened exactly as i reached the threshold btw but took me like 60 games with a ~80% winrate to get there) the graph did stabilize again. Anyway that's just my theory I really have no clue either.

I did not investigate your case further (it would have been nice to see the opponent MMRs too). Some may be due data errors, some may be due possible changes to capping behavior (this is entirely speculation. I have not checked), but some are normal.
Your observations in Excalibur_z's thread match my personal observations (please note that I have not verified this from the general data!). The HotS matchmaker indeed seems to match you mostly from people from your league in following heavily generalized principle: "Search for people having close MMR from your league... If not found then expand search for people with close MMR from other leagues". And thus most of the time your opponents are from your own league (there is almost always someone from your league near you available as the league MMR ranges are quite small). If the MMR difference is large you will gain / lose lots of MMR in one match (the estimate change for similar MMR level opponent is +-16, but your changes per match are likely much larger). Also promotions seem to be almost immediate when next league's border is crossed (if you have played more than ~25 matches). This also explains why you do not necessarily face people from the upper league before you are promoted.
Let me give an example. One of my accounts was just below master border on US server. I had a bad day and +- for that day was around -15 matches. My MMR dipped over 300 points to low plat, but most of my opponents remained as diamond's having diamond level MMR. And when I after a heavy losing streak won few diamond MMR opponents, my MMR jumped ~200 points in couple of matches back to low diamond.
But. When I calculated the offsets for this season, there were some low league characters whose graphs were not logical, even if the tool gave logical graphs for most low league players. I did not have time to investigate the case further back then.

Anyway that's just my theory I really have no clue either. If the observations that matchmaker picks opponents primarily from your league are correct & you are closing the league border of the upper league, then your opponent's have either similar MMR as you or lower. As if they had higher MMR, they would have already been promoted (if observation of almost immediate promotions are correct). This leads to that you often lose more MMR from a lose than you gain from a win --> you need to win more than lose to get to the next league.

Well I just got promoted to masters! :D

Doesn't work for my EU account either but it's working well ony my US account. I have 25 games on my EU account and my US account started working after 2 or 3 games.
