Actually it is right here ... http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=330806 and also articles about players retiring because they won't be able to keep up with the transition.

So one player tweets that he finds sc2 boring and that automatically translates to 'a lot'? I can just as easily link a thread which quotes flash enjoying SC2 and label it as the majority. Obviously not every BW progamer is going to enjoy the switch. However, to say that they are all going to retire is just absolutely silly.

I am not going to bother to find the articles for you because there were few articles which cover the aspect of transitioning to sc2 and the possibility of players retiring from the professional scene just because of the switch.

That's because there were no such god damn articles. Provide facts or gtfo.

There is but I don't have time to post it for you . Lazy bum

Claim something exists, won't provide links to it. Great argument you have there. I mean just do it? How hard is it? You have 0 credibility otherwise.

Here is one of the articles of you're so eager for proof:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=323013&currentpage=77#1540

Again, it's mostly speculation, but it makes logical sense.

I've read all of these articles about the switch and no where does it say the majority of BW pros are depressed and unhappy about it. Nowhere does it say they're all going to quit either.

That you have got to ask this guy ..

There's so many people who would flat-out disagree with that second part, its not funny. You should hear what the BW pros said about sc2 and how many of them are incredibly depressed at this news, and even more are leaving esports altogether. Korea is going to keep rejecting this sad excuse for a successor no matter how much Blizzard/GOM try to shove it on us.

Take off your blinders. SC2 is evolving into quite a good game. Games were very boring and unimaginative during beta/early release; however, we are starting to see more and more complex games at the highest level.

What are BW pros currently saying about SC2? I am not interested in what they had to say during beta. What are they saying now that they are playing and practicing the game? I know that Flash, for example, is actually taking a liking to SC2.

Uh... Not really. A large majority of BW pros are upset or planning on leaving. This is all recent released statements and tweets from their channels, not to mention real life statements from my own progamer friends. Take it from someone who is actually here and know them personally, not just from watching them on streams.

Because according to him he is pretty close with some bw pro gamers and they have already disclose some distaste to the switch and retirement is actually an option for them if they don't like the transition.

LOL. So some guys claims all that and you just believe it without question? I'm sure he talks with Flash and co daily to gather their thoughts. We'll see soon how many just retire from being depressed. Also even if they do, there's a ton of b teamers and other people who didn't get the limelight who are loving the switch. They will replace anyone lost.

But what if it's a big name player that retires? What if it's Jaedong or Stork or even Flash that quits because he doesn't like the game? No amount of talented, up-and-coming B-teamers is going to replace those losses. The organizers are banking on the star-power of their top players and teams to help facilitate the transition, and losing anyone would be a huge blow to this transition.

That won't happen. Atm some pros are kicking wild around them, because they are losing the game they played for years. After they see that their kicking is useless, they will start practicing sc2 really really hard, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them dominate the scene.

It's possible but by name i think we know Flash will play SC2. The others probably will also. Not all but most i think. Also the best BW players may not be the best SC2 players. I know there's a ton of hype about Flash and all those and he has a good chance of being one of the best. But people just calm down just a bit, it will be a while before he's at the top GSL player level.

Between the GOM league and the KeSPA/OGN, I'd be more willing to watch the OGN league... so many familiar faces... new legends to be made.

But it's initially not going to be a matter of how they perform but a matter of if their legion of fans will follow them in the transition despite how they perform. The big names have a big number of fans. If they severely underperform or quit, then what happens to those fans? SC2 needs all the Korean fans that it can get if it wants the transition to be successful. The organizers are hoping that fans of the players and teams will follow them through the transition to become fans of the actual game, so any hiccup in this process would be a huge blow. There is a ton of PR fluff going around, so we may never really know their true thoughts on SC2 other than through speculation and reading between the lines whenever they talk about it.

The only hope is that KeSPA somehow forces blizzard to fix the glaring issues within the game instead of applying some band-aid fixes in form of stats altering.

The mixed Proleague is bullshit but at least they don´t switch every set.

Other than that this is so awesome.

If it's a big name player then its a big name player, someone will step up to take their place, that's how sports have always worked.

Holy shit, obviously a transition was coming but I honestly had no clue they would start integrating SC2 in season 2 of PL...a couple weeks >< awesome. Very interesting that they have publicly announced backing for their players in foreign tournaments. Always great to see, this is awesome, can't wait!

Eventually, that would be acceptable. However, that wouldn't be so great during the transition period. On one hand, it would be awesome if (P)Flying is destined to become the first Protoss bonjwa, bringing in new fans with each amazing game he plays. However, that won't happen as early as the transition period. On the other hand, if Bisu ends up quitting progaming entirely during the transition, then that would be a disastrous blow to SC2's hopes of becoming a successful esport in Korea, especially considering the hordes of rabid fans that follow Bisu.

In order for the transition to be successful, SC2 MUST latch onto every fan that follows through the transition. It's already an uphill battle against the huge BW fanbase that still may need convincing that SC2 is a worthy game to follow over BW, and it's an uncertain time for the Starcraft scene in general with LoL consuming the market. Having big-name players quit during the transition would scare off a lot of valuable fans. Until other players have grown and gathered substantial fanbases of their own in SC2, Korean SC2 will have to rely on fans of big-name players and teams following them through the transition. Otherwise, viewership will take huge blows if players quit too early.

Thanks for the summary

Best part:

Boxer asked KeSPA that there is a bigger market outside of Korea and whether they have intention of sending their players to overseas to compete. KeSPA answered that they will FULLY support players to compete in overseas tournaments.

Boxer is, for the millionth time, the fucking man. Also, smart decision here by KeSPA. They realize that SC2 is much more of a global success in a tournament setting than SC1 was right out of the gates.
