Hope they manage to figure out the Terran factory problem. As uninspired as the Warhound's design was, it promoted more Mech in Terran games and that could only be good for diversity in games.
I really REALLY like the fact that they removed the Replicant. It was such a bullshit unit. They need to add more stuff to the Protoss line though. Tempest doesn't really feel necessary when you can try to tweak carriers to perform the same function basically.
Glad there are a lot of ideas for the Zerg though.

I do hope the nexus recall doesn't make it, simply because warpgate is already a really good ability for stopping drop harass/multipronged attacks.

It has no place in multiplayer, but it sounds like a cool unit to mess around with in single player.

Recall wasn't intended to stop harass though...

Well that or if you catch toss out of position BAm it all goes home. If it makes it I am going to be super angry lol.

I assume recall will have a 75-100 energy cost, which will only really be viable to protoss with bad macro (noobs), late game protoss, or a pro protoss cheese that is designed to do quick damage then bail out fast. In which case, I invite it wholeheartedly.
I think zerg has the most interesting changes that will really open up the strategy to a whole new ballpark. Terran mech/positional play is the only thing that really needs to be changed (anything to get terrans to stray from MMM for once in their lives) I fear for protoss the most, because even though the exclusion of the replicant seems like a gift from god, the tempest/oracle still feel like dull or gimmicky units (respectively) that are more of the same than anything else really.
Nexus recall/insta-cannon is the most interesting imho. Practically inviting insane cheeses to be thought up.

Seems to be me like the tempest is still serving the exact same role as the carrier? Except... it's not as iconic of a unit?
Don't understand the reason behind this change.

Basically what I read from this regarding Terran: we had a think about what we showed you at Blizzcon and decided it was stupid. Now we don't know what we're doing, but we'll let you know when we come up with something. Maybe something with mech.
Sounds like HotS is long way off.

I can't help but think of the scroll of town portal every time I hear the nexus recall, lol.

Their uselessness is so pronounced that I've forgotten that they were even there as a useless unit. Good old Blizzard entertainment though doesn't seem like they'll make any significant changes to the triumvirate of useless and/or boring Zerg units. Overseer, Corruptor and Hydralisks FTL. (Ultralisks are an honorable mention, but they might get that burrow charge). Corruptors are a big part of ZvT...hardly what I'd call useless. Corruptors arn't useless but they sure are boring. I guess that makes them kind of like air marauders. I switched to Terran in SC2 and I've always hated that stupid unit, but damned if I don't need it. Ah yes another one of those units that contribute to nothing other than a deathball. Gotta love those one-dimensional units, right?

Viper feeding on minerals => drop vipers in opponent's mineral line => disrupt supply.
I wonder if vipers would be cheap enough to justify this?

oh shit the zerg stuff is fucking awesome

It is all about harassing and multitasking rather than free wins randomly when the Zerg doesn't guess your build correctly. DTs and Banshees right now are just stupid, especially when they are made off of one base, for both sides - if they are stopped, then P/T is in huge trouble, and if not, then they pretty much win automatically.

I dont understand why they want to keep the thor... i want the mech army to be increased in mobility.
Why cant the mech units run and shot on the same time, any modern tank can do that with same precision as standing still, ye ofc it would maybe be a balance issue but it is just a thought.
And what's up with them not changing massrecall?` It will leave the protoss army impossible to beat if they are always the ones deciding on if they want to fight or not....the toss army is already more moble then the mech army so i dont really see the thing with that. and the current tvp is based on being able to harass mid game, because late game is just shit if you dont get ahead.
Even if they were to bring in a unit more powerfull and cost effektive then the thor there isnt a chanse in hell mech would ever be decent against a toss.
I'm also very sad that they did not keep threader, wouldnt mind if they brought in some upgrade that would make it possible for misselturrents to deal damage on ground units.

dropping the shredder and the ditto...eh i mean replicant.
at least blizzard listening a little bit?
but the thought of adding ANOTHER super long range missile of doom laser cannon of unending range and death to the terran race confuses me.

I wonder if vipers would be cheap enough to justify this? They wouldnt if you expected to lose them. Depending on speed you could maybe avoid that... but it better make an alert or something or people might not even know.... Man... I hoped to hell that the viper's abduct move would be gone... all I can think of is that a zerg makes 10 of these, pulls my colossus out of my army, they die instantly, and then the rest of your pathetic army dies right after -_- they better not have a good range...

Yah banshees in TvP are stupid. Protoss gets Robo? Stopped with no damage or very little if thy only make one obs which protoss don't do anymore. Robo not made? Terran wins.

I am glad they are re-doing terran. From a completely non balancing pov, I think terrans are just transformers mixed with C&C. I dont want that.

Does it matter what it's ended for though? It can obviously be used that way, especially when you're on 3 base and have energy saved up.
