If Protoss gets a mass recall from the Nexus to get out of unfavorable battles I'm going to be so angry.

Too bad they're not considering nerfing bio. At least the replicant is gone.

How about making tanks and hellions actually useful? Make pure mech actually stronger than tier 1?

yes id love to see everyone to jump on the 6m/7m games and exclusively test them for awhile. Especially after blizzard emailed the creator back with interest in it
do you REALLY want additional pylons?

Barrin, you and your 6 min patches

I don't disagree, but it would involve rebalancing everything in the game. You'd need a major expansion or something to do that.

Good thing we have two major expansions and plenty of time to maximize excitement before rebalancing.

well won't the battle hellion help out with that?

I mean you could use them vs protoss and just convert them into battle mode when all the zealots are cleaned up.
Standard.

If they found the shredder to be too powerful against workers, they could give terran better zoning with a unit that would deploy into a building that slows all units around it and grants large vision radius. Then terran could zone with a tank or two and this unit. (each tank would have more power due to more time on target due to slower units.) unfortunately it would be incredibly weak to air.

i was hoping to read that the carrier was in again, maybe at a later stage, but these changes sound very interesting indeed! looking forward to beta!

Didn't you hear they renamed the carrier to the tempest?

Why does zerg need another micro heavy caster? We already have the infestor.
Glad to see the Zerg detection cost didn't skyrocket. (they didn't make it the Viper)

I just don't get them saying Protoss needing an air seige unit to force engagements. Doesn't the collosi do that just fine already?

Storms pretty much shut mutas down - they normally go for base trade though. There are too many hard counters in this game, stop asking for more.

Great! I will be using my mmm ball against Protoss for another 2 years......

I seriously don't know why people keep repeating this.

The battle hellion alone is a change 100% tailored to change the TvP match-up.

No it doesnt
Blizzard just want to add another way to beat protoss !
You can still use mmm and troll all the way to master league !! lol

They want to make a Carrier out of Tempest after removing the Carrier.

That's the fate of every unit called "Tempest" in SC2.

The very first Tempest was a Carrier replacement that had a strong GtA shield (with no AtA shield) and fired Shurikans instead of Intercepters. That was nixed because everyone wanted their damn Carrier back.

So for HotS, they added a new Tempest, which they're replacing with a Carrier wannabe. Which I can almost guarantee will just be reverted into a Carrier with a few changes.

Surprisingly the unit I hate the most from what I have seen in Heart of the Swarm is the Swarm Host. It just seems like a shitty unit. I guess I just want my lurkers back,

You're giving the Swarm Host way too much credit. I would much rather have a shittier version of the Lurker over the Swarm Host. The Swarm Host literally serves no purpose other than parking it outside of the opponents base so it can spawn one beetle that is somehow more durable than a Hydralisk. Blizzard is doing a pretty poor job at making dynamic units in SC2.

why don't you try it on the custom map, new lurker can break siege lines no problem at all. those spawns hurt like hell

btw, did they scrap dark swarm?

Because then there'd be no reason to use Tier 1, and the game would turn into a clone of SC1. Every game would be the Terran turtling till they get a couple of STs out and can take their first expo.

We had 12 years of that crap. At least bioballs are new. I like that Tier 2 is at best a suppliment to Tier 1 rather than a replacement.

Every other race relies on their Tier 1 thoughout the game. Why should Terrans have an entire building's worth of units that is completely worthless?

Good changes in my opinion. I don't want to see Warhounds replacing Thors. I'd like to see improved Carrier instead of Tempest and I say big NO to recall on Nexus.

Also Zerg doesn't need another caster if you gonna keep Overseer. Just give Overseer blinding cloud and this mineral-feeding thingy (which is nice), and give Infestor Abdupt by removing Neural Parasite (which sucks nowadays). Do that and we can start BETA!:D

I don't understand why they won't keep the carrier. The tempest is now a long range siege unit. What the hell is the carrier suppose to be? Instead of making a new unit that fulfills the exact same role, BUFF THE CARRIER. GAAHHH

So what's the point of the tempest? And what does the tempest do that a slightly tweaked carrier couldn't? I feel like an artist designed a cool ship model and now they are doing anything they can to squeeze it into the game, lol.

It can serve a splash damage role anti-air.

It also isn't crippled by marines, which is a big problem with the carriers viability in SC2. A ball of tightly packed marines (or even hydras) just shred interceptors apart, and if you give them enough health to survive that they become OP against everything else. The interceptor just doesn't fit within the SC2 engine with a lot of damage and firepower in tighter formations, BW obviously was different.

Maybe if you were forced to make units more slowly due to less income. Hmmm...

Haha, Barrin. <3

Anyway, I'm interested in the recall on the nexus. I hope it requires ~150 energy and has a pretty small radius, closer to recall than mass recall. If it was like that I think it would be a good addition.

It would also add more use for having more bases if you play protoss. Hmmm...

Please no mass recall on Nexus...there should be some actual risk to moving out.

Replicator and Shredder getting the axe, everyone saw that coming. Good to hear they're working on factory units. Bioballs are getting old.
