A new song from Ken Ashcorp and this time it's all about the translator John.
LYRICS: (GSL baby) A man of courage A man of fortitude and respect He doesn't really like Yugioh Well what d'you expect? He's a player and a pimp And he's here to collect If you face him on the ladder then you better just quit
Not afraid to ask questions from Michael Grackson When he's rocking the mic, better step back son Do you get fanart drawn of you? Didn't think so Troll Translator the First Awwwww here we go!
(What is this fixation with Yugioh? It's not like he's the world cham--- ohhh...)
John "Junkka" Park Every time he's on TV yeah he hits the mark
John The Translator, there's nobody greater Carrying more heat than an incubator When we need a pickup we'll just listen to your speech Follow all your dreams like a creep spread's reach
Would you ever consider doing a "full" version of any of the songs you've put out? They are ”full”.
I don’t know why people constantly ask for “full” versions of things. There are a plethora of reasons as to why each is finished, but, simply put, it’s either because there’s not enough material to work with, I don’t want something to sound samey and horrible after the first minute, it’s just a tiny thing that I’ve messed around with for a couple of hours that I don’t want to do any more with, I don’t like the direction, I don’t have enough time and, last but not least, I’ve done the best that I could do in the time allotted.
Not everything has to be a 3-4 minute track that is professionally mastered and done to the best of my ability. I’ve managed to put out a hell of a lot more just doing silly little things than trying to do that. It’s down to personal ability and my standards which I don’t think are high enough to produce things like that on a regular basis.
Sorry if everything seems unfinished to you…
So yeah, don't think we'll ever get a longer version =(
Nice song. But I was pretty suprised to see Ken Ashcop making a "nerd" song, since I only knew his insanely awesome "20 percent cooler" track, and assumed he was some kind of mainstream musician. (mainstream in the positive sense: famous and catchy tunes) For everybody, who hasn't heard it, hear is his masterpiece:

Honestly not a big fan of this one. Lyrics are less brilliant than his usual and a couple of the rhymes sound really forced. Even the tune's not as catchy.
That's kind of a shame, Ken's other stuff is the best out there.

This is my favourite of them, and it's deservingly an award winner!
Same for me, I wish he would make a longer version.
It had to be under 2 min for the contest, still, he should have made another version. There have been some fan creations of extended versions on YouTube that are pretty good though.

Beginning was fresh and it was a new beat, but I really cannot look pass the fact he's using the same blueprint as before.
And, essentially, that's the reason why it's so short, everyone. I don't feel like I have the technical ability to create a lot of 3-4 minute tracks without everyone pointing out how samey they all feel. Though I actually did keep with the same theme on purpose for the Starcraft ones, this is kind of why I want to keep most of my stuff to a minimum, to try and improve rather than just make the same songs all the time. 0 budget, 1 person productions usually tend to end up like that.
Thank you for the responses though. I really hope that John liked it as much as I liked creating it. I've had this tune in my head ever since I finished "DESTINY", I just never got around to finishing it.
