Yes, it says in the first paragraph (can't quote because site seems to be down for me) that this is SC2 only. EDIT: The official tournament game will be StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and boost a total prize purse of SEK 1 200 000 which equals around USD 178 000.

It seems like you are either disappointed that the events will be hosted in Europe, and thus rendering you unable to attend; or it seems as if you are undermining European eSports events. If the latter is true, please do not do so again in the future because the way I see it, StarCraft is for everyone, and not just for US residents to enjoy. You have MLG, NASL and IPL. Let Europeans have their DH, HSC etc.

What kind of elitist crap is that seriously? You enjoy it more if only the true defenders of e-sports can watch this? I'm guessing you're one of the people who believed Sundance when he said PPV was needed for e-sports or it could not grow anymore (despite Dreamhack and most other tournaments completely disagreeing). You where fed a lie so MLG could make more money, and you turned it into a devout belief. Good job man, show us that corporate indoctrination is still a serious problem.

These companies like Dreamhack do NOT make as large of a profit as it SHOULD. (Or even a profit at all, probably) if you like something, PAY FOR IT. If a large profit is made from making quality productions, we'll get more of them. Period.

Last DH Winter had HoN, CS 1.6, QL, Street fighter and Bloodline Champions tournaments aswell and probably more games that I don't remember. This is just an announcement of their SC2 tournament.

The case you are referring to that "eSports = SC2" is definitely not true at all. Many games are usually catered for at such events, and SC2 doesn't even get the largest attention overall. DreamHack may seem that it is biased towards other games, but it may just be because there is a lack of following for other competitive games. If, for example, WoW arena had a large fanbase, they might have considered putting the attention on that game. When you look at the wide spectrum of things, SC2 is most certainly not the cream of the crop when it comes to eSports. Games such as LoL, DotA and CS are much larger representatives of the scene than any other game. EDIT - Like some have stated above, this was just the announcement of their SC2 tournament. Therefore there is absolutely no reason to get jittery about the subject at all.

If you'd like to further fund DH I suggest you move to Sweden and pay taxes. edit: I mean PAY TAXES. Also, you could consider perhaps sending A NICE WORD to the SPONSORS via some sort of SOCIAL MEDIA.

If you want to make them more money then they according to themselves even need, donate. And an American with a sheep mentality trying to insult my intelligence is just laughable. Go give more money to your god Sundance, I'm sure he'll tell you again how poor, poor MLG will starve without it. And Dreamhack DOES make good profits because they attract a lot of spectators, you know, people who buy tickets, merchandise, food, how the hell do you think they had the biggest events in the world until now? Sundance being too stupid to see that you can make money off of spectators does not mean you have to as well.

We like Sc2 - we bought it, we keep playing it, we like it so much we post on forums specifically because of this game, we watch the streams available - DH buys for it with sponsors/ads. What´s the problem here? They are not a charity? Just because MLG went PPV all have to do it ?_?
