If Blizzard were even thinking of breaking off their relationship with GOM, there's no way in the world that Mr. Morhaime would be sitting in the audience, on camera. he's in the audience for the bw proleague... irrelevant point He was in the GOMTV audience about 15 minutes ago, and as another poster pointed out, bought them pizza, so no, it's not irrelevant at all. It is, however, not a reference to the appearance in the picture in the OP.
I think the pizza is like that scene from Iron Man 1 where Obadiah bought Tony Pizza from New York, you guys know what transpired after, right???
RIGHT???????????

That was just ridiculous. I had to learn from a friend who bought it that it's the same flat rate of $15 a month because Blizzard didn't have that information anywhere until you buy it!
Point is, Blizzard please clear your crap up and be more specific. Please?

finances they will be crushed however once the kespa teams bring more exposure to the scene, more sponsors will trickle down to the current sc2 teams.
skill....hmmm things are about to get more crazy up in here. at first the bw teams wont beat the top sc2 teams...but they sure as hell will bring brilliance and more competition to the scene. injecting new blood. and later bw teams will rise cuz they...just have a starcraft training system that is sooo strict and efficient.

overall this is a very very great thing.
korean players will get more money since the big sponsors like samsung will now go into the sc2 realm as well
also they will have the chance to compete in two leagues as well.
current korean sc2 teams are kinda screwed though. i predict a lot of buyouts and fusions

i dont think he understands the importance of this happening. pretty sure he will understand once kespa teams start playing against sc2 teams.

kespa dollars injected into sc2 is incredibly good for korean sc2.

The current sc2 teams cannot play on Kespa Leagues unless they are carried by the companies that Kespa represents. For example, Based on the legality about the proleague, the only way for slayers to play in the proleague is when they are bought by a team like SKT.

Sounds like they are basically trying to rush this agreement before LoL takes over BW completely

It seems like everyone is resigned to the fate of bw getting phased out and teams swapping over to sc2 because of it.
Looks like Big Toblizzco wins.

How has it been rushed? People have been talking about April and this Proleague season being the last BW season for months now.
|
Am I missing something? Nowhere in here does it say that the BW teams are switching to SC2. It only says that KeSPA is going to run a SC2 Proleague that will be broadcast on OGN. I realize that represents a great leap forward in production value, accessibility, professionalism, and financial means, but it doesn't necessarily mean that we'll be seeing Jaedong vs. MMA anytime soon.

I havent heard about April but I heard rumours about SC2 proleague HOWEVER I think Blizzard CEO coming unexpectedly to Korea and think about starting SC2 PL in April sounds rushing to me. Usually agreements last for a couple of months to get their shit together and agree on something. But trying to do that in less than a month? ...

Im a hard-core BW fan to heart and yes it's been indicated for some time now that BW will be replaced with SC2 Proleague.

Why would they open a sc2 Proleague and not have their teams play in it? There's already the GSTL for that. Someone has to sponsor proleague so why would they put effort into that when It's not their players competing in it.

Just because you didn't expect it doesn't mean it wasn't a planned trip.
I wouldn't expect it to start in April. Mainly they'd just be getting the foundation down and ready for it to start sometime in May/June I'd imagine.
