I'm all for action when the time is right like against clearly hateful comments, Limbaugh, but when someone is just obviously cursing someone out it has nothing to do with race. I think we've all been there and I dare you to say you havent, and if so, you're telling me you've always been perfect. We start from a place of weakness in our lives and build our selves up to something respectable. Orb is someone I respect and now you've just crucified a man who did not deserve it. Attacking EG and going after their sponsors? Seems like you hurt the scene so much more than he ever could with that blind activism nonsense you love being "a part of". Like it makes you anything. Reminds me of all the idiot kids talking about Kony and yet they don't do a shred of research on the matter. Pathetic.
Sorry orb. I feel for ya. we havent lost him by a long shot, EG as pretty heavily pressured into removing him and theyve been pretty clear theyre trying to set the standards as the most professional team out there, i mean theyve even made IdrA calm down 99% of teams out there wouldnt have done a thing about him, but this wont really hurt his career that much hes lost tons of exposure but hell bounce back pretty quickly

I can understand how some people will accept orb's apology, and really I find the whole situation to be kinda eh...but I will say, I find it the ending situation pretty similar to limbaugh's situation (barring some obvious dissimilarities >.>)

I hate it how everyone is so hard on you when there are so many other players that have done so much worse and get away scott free. Hopefully you can come back to casting asap.

Was really saddened to see this whole situation come about, but in the end I think the best decision was made.
I hope you have grown up from all of this.

I still think you are a great caster. I just wish Reddit didn't have to dig up screen shots that were 6 months old or more to make it seem like you were a racist.

Such a commercially minded team as Evil Geniuses couldn't afford to keep you on. If they lost a single sponsor over it, it wouldn't be worth it to them. And if anything happened again later, ever, under any circumstances, they'd look far worse because people would be like "those nerds should have known."
I'm sorry that a few bad decisions have very possibly ruined your esports career.

You still havn't apologized for putting the blame on your friend. The fuck is wrong with you? Hey sundance I don't think he gets it.
|
I think Alex absolutely sold you out and is actually trying to become a hero for it.
I can't say I'm a huge fan of Orb anyway, but I do get upset when someone just lets a mob lynch a guy just because it's not in his own interests to save him, while making excuses for its own teammates doing similar things.
Lesson is If you're going to say racial or homophobic things on EG, you better have won a tournament or two.
Reddit is just going to pick another target tomorrow. I think maybe 2% of the outrage is genuine, that rest is all feigned.
You've actually gained a supporter in me because of this, good luck Orb

Next time, don't try to cover it up and just apologize if need be. Most of the backlash I feel could have been avoided if you just came out and admitted to what you did.

Thanks for the statement orb. Keep your head up.

With that being said I forgive you, and I hope you are given a second chance. Have you read any of the threads? Of course there were a lot of people thinking he was racist.

I most definitely forgive you.

I think you were funnier sitting at home raging ladder anyways. Screw EG.

manning up probably wasn't easy and didn't make it better. but at least you did it. i like you.

Nobody who is intelligent thinks you're a racist man, but they had to do it because people were crying to sponsors. It was a business decision they had to make nothing more. You're a great caster and I wish you the best.

I really enjoyed this line (not trolling)
"From the community, forgetting is what I dream of, forgiveness is what I hope for, but understanding is what I need."
I think this statement and the punishment is more than enough and I really hope this doesn't happen any more and I also hope it doesn't ruin this guy's reputation permanently because the internet has a pretty long memory.

This whole thing makes me sad on some level. I feel sorry for this generation because it's growing up during the internet age.
When I was young, if I said or wrote something stupid, it was quickly forgotten as the paper was thrown away or a verbal apology helped erase a verbal mistake. I am seriously very grateful that my mistakes and stupidity weren't memorialized on the internet for the world to see.. my potential employers to see.. my future wife to see.. my children to see.
I hope this generation realizes that in this digital age what you say, photos you take, videos you're in, etc, can haunt you the rest of your life, all around the world. Don't let immature mistakes, made while you're too young to know better or care, ruin things for you in the future.
-Old man out.

Even though what you said was offensive, I highly doubt a lot of the people who were really vocal about it were truly offended. All I cared about was the fact that you didn't immediately own up to your actions and apologize. I'm really glad that you are finally doing so, and I hope this is only a minor hiccup in your casting career.

So he doesn't mention the lying he died to try and cover this up?
