WHICH HE HAD ADMITTED TO! Then SLayerS picked him up>dont understand why they would want some1 who admitted to cheating in some form People don't say sorry for something they didnt do>this is fact Nobody is denying that he has done it in the past. How relevant that incident was during the cast, especially in the accusatory tone, is the issue. People make mistakes and anyone who has followed Dragon since the incident should give him the benefit of the doubt. He has built up a bit of community goodwill since then, and is sincere. Once again, nobody denies that it happened, but Katu's implied accusations as well as implying that dragon is still a cheater and of poor character is the problem. Plus he got his facts wrong in addition. The fact that it was such a plausible story makes it worse. It shares enough similarities with the truth (dragon did cheat while on WERRA, is no longer on SlayerS, doesn't play tournaments anymore) that its more believable. What about people who aren't super informed about Dragon and take his 'joke' seriously? There are a bunch of them in this thread even. Even trolling the stream by calling him a child molester would be less damaging to his reputation, just because it is so unbelievable. The fact that this is believable (although false) actually damages his reputation.

What he did was wrong, but if you keep doing this to your volunteers, your community will soon run out of them. This. The cast couldn't have gotten that many views when he said those comments and now people want to make it a big deal for dramas sake. not getting behind your volunteers and paying dragons trip to ipl4 from korea is a bit extreme I think. Reddit will always go crazy about things but they'll forget it in a few days and the drama will just end. while your volunteers will be unhappy forever.

1) Katu's pretty silly. 2) People are drama queens. 3) Playhem's PR crisis management is excellent. Look forward to seeing Dragon at IPL 4!

It looks like the typical "politically correct" garbage that you see so much of in all media. Chill out people.

"oh he should never cast again" "oh he should be banned from the internet "oh i'll never watch playhem again, this is such a disgrace" Seriously, to all of you go fuck yourselves. I'm sure some of you are trolling with the most extreme responses (har har har), but really, what is this fucking world coming to? This shit is rampant these days, someone makes a remark in somewhat poor taste, and everyone goes to crucify them and ruin their entire lives. God forbid YOU ever say something stupid. This doesn't ruin his life, he goes back to being a banker or whatever like the rest of us Joes and if he keeps casting he can get picked up by the next esports company. These guys are making money/wanting to make money from being a celebrity casting a video game. This is a privileged position in life, I don't care what anyone says, and while I won't comment on the severity of his punishment, because frankly I don't know myself, the idea that we let everything slide because we're indie is crazy. It was up to Playhem what to do with this guy, not us, but expressing displeasure is certainly well within a communities' right.

Stream cheating isnt something you can really prevent unless you just quit streaming altogether Honestly though.

so that explains a lot actually, e.g. not playing in a lot of tournaments, leaving slayers etc. (source: boxer stream, was watching it when the chat asked about dragon)

This just seems going past the inital drama because people hunger for any kind of drama. It's a shame really.

2) People are drama queens. pretty much this. That's the only thing that annoys me so much bout the SC2 community. Drama queens and small sensitive roses crying their hearts out if something like "this" happens. Other communities are and were hard like a rock and still everyone had fun playing/casting/watching even with small bashing/flaming here and there.

I think I see what you did there. :p If I remember Katu's casting, I don't think it was that good. And I am sure I've heard a Playhem caster say someone may be stream cheating in the past.

Any of this accusation couldnt have started if it existed. this isn't about actual stream cheating its about the caster saying that the player was stream cheating in response to the chat making him angry and saying that dragon was horrible and was stream cheating.
