Drama queens and small sensitive roses crying their hearts out if something like "this" happens. Other communities are and were hard like a rock and still everyone had fun playing/casting/watching even with small bashing/flaming here and there. As communities grow they become increasingly sensitive to stuff like this. If Katu and you were the only two people in the community, you guys could make incredibly insensitive comments about anything and no one would care (my wife and I say a lot of very politically incorrect things when are alone discussing things). But the more people you add into a group, the more you need to watch your tongue, because what upset you, is different that what upsets me. And since it is different for everyone, you need to be sensitive when talking to large groups. If people want E-sports to be taken seriously and to grow, people who represent E-sports (casters) need to learn to act seriously. So he should take some flak, apologize and move on and hopefully it doesn't happen again. But he deserves the flak.

Honestly, as a tournament organizer that employs Katu for a pair of high profile events, I find myself in a tough position regarding all of this. I think Katu is a fantastic caster with a lot of potential, however some of the things he said, even if unintentionally, were highly inappropriate and unprofessional. As a response to this action, he will be taking some time off from casting both the EWM and the KSL for the time being. While this leaves me, as a tournament organizer, unable to broadcast the event he was scheduled for today I feel it's a step that needs to be made. I hope our viewers can understand this, and adjust to the revised schedule for this week, where we will broadcast Saturday and Sunday as well, leading up to the LAN finals on Monday. On the other hand, it's very tough for me to put any support behind Dragon for this issue. Dragon is a past offender, and is allowed his current fan-base as the result of a promise made after he was caught. I think the community needs to realize that, following his apology he reneged on his words and participated in the GSL, caused a commotion, stepped back apologized again, and is now reneging on his words yet again. I think the offer from Playhem to send Dragon to IPL 4, while noble, is the wrong way to respond to an issue regarding a player who should not be participating in any tournaments without at least a public statement saying he is withdrawing his previous verbal contract with the community. It's one thing to stream your play, and earn a little money. Hell, TL;DR: Katu will not be casting my events for the near future, sorry for anyone who was going to tune in today. What Katu did was wrong, and what Dragon is doing is wrong as well. Stop witch-hunting and being biased.

Katu is a decent caster, i enjoy his voice and his commentary but this incident really makes me lose faith in him. Hope that you replace him with another quality caster! Thanks for this clarification on actions taken on him.

I mean dragon went 3 command center vs a roach all-in. When the first batch of roaches and lings arrived at his natural, his reaction was to build ANOTHER command center rofl. Katu proceded to clown on him which Dragon definitely deserved. There was no direct insult or profanity, no "RAINBOWS A FUCKING FAGGOT!" or anything like that. Katu definitely implied that Rainbow is a stream cheater and gave background information to support that assertion. Katu then trolled his chat because they all were Rainbow fanboyz who stayed up late to root for him. Katu should not have apologized in my opinion.

Uh, pretty sure a bunch of coaches and such said (publicly) that he should go kill himself/never stream again/other crazy shit when they found out actually. And shit, I'd make Katu cast every EWM/KSL event for the rest of the decade if Dragon gets a free IPL trip. Who cares about punishment, right? On February 29 2012 01:33 TangYiChen wrote: LOL if only I had enough viewers on my stream for you ![]() OT: Playhem handled the situation well. Although Katu did act very unprofessional and disrespectful, people make mistakes. I'll still participate in future tournaments as they are quite fun. Are you serious? Playhem handled it awfully - no mention of a punishment for Katu while happily offering a decent sum of money to Dragon, for the sole purpose of appeasing his fans? I wonder how the Korean community will respond when they hear about the cheating, promise-breaking Dragon getting a free ride to IPL.
