They never said they thought the should get it for free. All they said that the price TL started with was way too high to even bother negotiating. Many people here are all pissed off that MLG is trying to make money and is doing the even PPV, but then TL thinks it fine for them to spend a ton of extra money of something that other events get for free. I doubt MLG would say no to a price that was reasonable, but considering they wouldn't even bother negotiating the price, I can only imagine what TL started wit (probably was $10k to be honest, what reason do we have to doubt LJ?).

MLG is biting the hands that feeds it. So many tournaments for free (alot of them in HD too) that are free and have a lot of Koreans playing in them.
I really hope they drop the PPV thing after this because it was an enjoyable experience watching MLG and they have now cut off probably 80-90% of their audience of course until we get to view the vods a week later.
Seriously though who's actually going to watch the VODs a WEEK LATER?

Hardly. He was warned in the post he responded to and he knew fully well what the consequence would be. And he doesn't show any respect to TL so why should they bend over and take one for him (just read his twitter)? I listen as well to his little rant about montetizing starcraft in the other thread and he's hardly a person that shows respect to people that disagree with him.

There's a difference between being critical of someone and dumping on them. Jerry also never really liked MLG way back in the day. He did nothing but "dump on them" day and night and people hated him for it. MLG finally reached out to him after he wrote an open letter to them and listened to what he had to say. MLG's in a much better place now after taking a lot of his advice.
He's just doing to TL what he did to MLG, calling them out when they do something that either doesn't benefit eSports or is going against expanding eSports. Some people see him being critical of an organization and see him as being an asshole for it. Fair enough. But let's face it, he's been right too many times in the past to just dismiss something he says. I'm guessing he wants TL to be a better organization, and if calling them out when they do something he doesn't agree with is something he thinks is worth going out of his way to do, then it may be in our best interest to at least listen to him.

Edit: This post was originally discussing the moderation action taken against the user Lord Jerith, arguing that his ban was warranted. I realised this post may have crossed the line in to off topic back seat moderating sorry, so I won't discuss it any further.
I originally left the post up for intellectual honesty, rather than taking a shot at making a point and then hiding it, but as the post has been quoted now, sufficient time has passed and the point has been made sufficiently by others, I am now deleting this post.
