Thanks.

We'll be doing a VOD soon on unit control, micro etc. Not only for zerg, but all 3 races. To do this though David needs to be at my place because you need to see the location of the mouse.

nice, trying to branch out to the other races myself, it'll be nice to learn some good habits before I develop bad habits.

I think I love you.

I love you too, buddy! :D

I'd like to try to help you out a little bit in posting to Reddit, and perhaps other forms of social media. Sometimes, when you just post stuff like "Intimate ZvX with Stoic - Episode 18," while you're accurately saying what the title of the show is and what episode it is, there might be other information that might be better at catching the eye of potential viewers. When you just have the title and episode number, the average person scrolling through Reddit posts just scrolls right by it, because it's just another random dude's foray into helping noobs out. No offense to you guys, but this particular market is quite saturated. However, you guys are awesome, and you need to find ways to make yourselves stick out so that other people are also capable of realizing this.

What you might try instead is using the title of your posts to play to your strengths to attempt to garner more viewers. For example, when you submitted Episode 8, you had "ZvZ" at the end of it. This is a little better, but let's try to put some even better ideas into the viewer's head. For example, by saying "This week is ZvZ week!" it might make the reader think "oh this show happens fairly regularly," thus making them more likely to place a vested interest into it. You could try submitting just one of your four/five parts like I did - in this example, I said exactly what the selling point of that specific VOD was, and why the viewer would want to watch it. He might stumble across it and think, "oh hey, I'm having a hard time with that push" and click on it (I assume that's what happened, since I happened to quintuple your normal viewership of that one video).

If you REALLY want to see how this is done, go check out Day[9]'s Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/#!/day9tv He is the master of this. A few examples: "Having trouble winning in TvP? Today we look at the necessity of blasting the Protoss in the midgame w/ T!" or "When I awaken, I'll be analyzing DeMusliM's amazing mech win vs Nestea! :D"

The source of my advice: I do some translating, so I have a lot of practice at dicking around with words to find the best way to portray ideas.

You actually increased our viewership 10 fold, lol. I was thinking along the same lines about thread titles, but I like the way you explain it better. Thanks for the tips! Always appreciated.

I work in B2B sales so marketing is definitely not my strong suit.

Next VODs will be ZvP mainly. If anyone has any questions on ZvP specifics, post them here. We will try to answer all of them in our VODs, and I will look to pick out games that showcase the strategies suggested.

Thanks for all the comments!

I wouldnt mind the VoD showing how to easily 11/12 minute max without dying to 8 minute stuff and how to handle drones vs different types of builds

also when to know keep making units instead of taking a 4th/5th and teching to hive units

if you have any replays where the other protoss opens with a gateway first build, and you explain your scouting / thought process that'd be really insightful in this FFE age.

also that sentry immortal vod was awesome, but if you happen to have any more replays of it, you mentioned how it's easier to hold off with a spine wall. would be nice to see as well for everyone like me with noob unit control >_<

this also good idea

I face dumb gateway builds all the time and it sucks when I took my 3rd before 2nd or I found out really late and am barely getting gas when a 4 gate is coming like on entombed or something ...ovie speed buff should help with this though

This should really be in the Strategy section so more people will get a chance to see it. My ZvZ has improved so much since watching these vods. There's no one else that really gets into the thought process behind what's going on in the match up and since ZvZ doesn't really lend itself well to build orders you can feel kind of lost. I'm just glad I no longer have to 6 pool every Zerg just to get it over with quickly.

Perhaps something about decision making after the Protoss takes a third. For example, say you didn't get a whole lot of scouting in, only saw him take 1 or 0 gas at his natural and see nothing else, and right when you start making your roaches for a possible incoming attack (which you might not be able to scout whether or not it's happening due to a zealot/stalker push out or something), you learn that he is taking his third. I'll often see people either just chill out at home or start making way more roaches to just go kill it. What kind of things go into your decision to do one or the other, or to perhaps take other options? There are a lot of Zergs who have watched Stephano and DRG enough to figure out how to hold off 2 base pushes just by build orders, but then you have to start making decisions and it gets harder haha.

Thank you so much for your support, we realy appreciate it. Unfortunately, the casters have already been choosen, and we did not make it.

We will be casting the MLG qualifier tournament for complexity academy on May 14th. Join us for some fun!

Keep posting your ZvP questions, we will answer all of them in our next VODs, even if we cannot find games that will answer your questions.

Thanks for all the support guys!

Here's one then - cannon rushing, walling in, pylon blocking. What is the zerg's best 'reply' and how best to defend these?

at 16 supply send down 1 drone to patrol the area below your ramp, if you are going gasless expand send another drone down to try and get the hatch early, this way you can use both drones to fight the probe for the hatch as well.

Regret never wants to sacrifice a drone (and thus, econ) so he doesn't do this. That would be the hard counter or 'hard prevention' though. There is, however, a way to play against this. I'll see if we can arrange a "CombatEX" style cannon cheese to make a VOD. iMpDuster should be game.
