Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it. |

i understand the korean way of doing business is different from the foreigner way and they believe that a verbal promise/agreement holds its value but when theres thousands of dollars to be made with a player you cant just shake their hand and make them promise they'll stay
all the fault is on the TSL management at this point.... fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me. Considering Coach Lee is talking about taking legal action for a breack of contract.... I'm assuming he did sign hs players to a contract.... If he can't afford to keep his players i'm struggling to see how he could afford to sue. Unless they really are only leaving 'cause he's working them too hard and they want a free ride in the west or something. I can't see him winning here, even if he is in the right.
edit: apparently money shouldn't be a problem for the TSL

And as someone pointed out this is going to make KR/Western relations a bit more tense and strained. It's made the relations so strained EG is now in a partnership with SlayerS. Oh yeah. TSL/Western relationships might be wrecked, though. EDIT: I wish people could read. THERE WAS A CONTRACT. IF YOU ARE BEING SUED FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT, THERE IS A CONTRACT. Jesus. Lol.. if EG takes a player from SlayerS, Jessica will make sure they don't leave Korea alive. Jessica will see to the destruction of EG within the hour

ugh, pretty sure this one is going to be more controversial/serious since alive was under contract following the puma shenanigans

This is just crazy.
I know Coach Lee is from BW. He was a very good coach and, and always lost his best players to other teams. (Bisu is the best example btw.)
I feel like one is a accident, two is a trend. Either other teams find TSL easy to poach from or something is up inside the house. I hope this get sorted out.

Oh, joy. I bet this is a good time for the haters and the misinformed to shit on Coach Lee once again.

can see legal action happening if Alive did infact breach contract
I hope legal action is taken if something illegal occurs. That would be pretty big.
I also hope we get a statement from Fnatic...

I feel so bad for Coach Lee and TSL That guy works harder than just about anyone and he and TSL always seem to get the short end of the stick.

Reading comprehsion fail? Alive signed a contract with TSL and then left for fnatic.. that's all Coach Lee needs. It's not like he was a free agent and TSL couldn't match the offer or something.

Hopefully things turn out well.. because it seemed like TSL and Fnatic seemed to have a good relationship as Rain left TSL on good terms with the coach... Didn't know about their supposed partnership either, must be a sticky situation. Rain left much earlier than he signed with Fnatic.
But yeah, ToD was staying in the TSL house for awhile and it seems that something was in the works before all this alleged underhanded maneuverings happened.

The problem is, a bad contract is worth even less than no contract. At least when the player isn't tied down, it isn't expected for them to stay.

Not necessarily true. If you are being sued for breach of contract, the person suing you is ALLEGING that there was a contract and that it was breached. This could be as simple as a verbal agreement that they are basing their lawsuit on. Just because one side alleges a contract doesn't necessarily mean the other party or the court will agree.
I am nitpicking though =P I'll agree that given the circumstances there is probably a written contract if Coach Lee is considering legal action.

We've heard from guys like Rekrul and others about Coach Lee having control issues and unreal expectations with his players, despite being a nice guy and a good coach in the strategic sense. If all of those accusations are true, then I would totally understand why this is only happening to Mama Bear, and not other Korean coaches.

Wait, you say aLive left with his best friend.. isn't that Polt? Don't tell me they're losing him as well..
