Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it.

Throwing around blame isn't going to fix our problems! We need organizations and teams to respect each other enough to not talk to their players about these matters directly, and more importantly we need players to have enough respect for their teams to want to tell us about these kind of things. Come on people, blame isn't going to help anyone. Start thinking of ways we can fix this for our future.

Only way to fix it is for a Global Kespa like organization to hold teams accountable for when they do shit like this. That's the only way it will get solved. At the end of the day it's a business and if a team feels they will get very little negative PR for poaching a player they will go ahead and do it. Sadly that's the only way.

Just the coach. As soon as people within his team decide to leave TSL to go to another team, he does EVERYTHING to throw shit to his own player's names before they leave. He's a self-righteous, power-hungry dickwad that should not be allowed to own a progaming team, in my opinion.

Dang. I saw a post on my facebook earlier about him having fnatic in his name and I thought the person just made a mistake. But wow, I was wrong. aLive is one of my favorite players. I'll back him in any decision, but I hope he stays with TSL!

I'm being more biased to players than backstabbers that take everything to the presses as soon as they're upset. Problem?

This coach Lee guy is quite an annoying character -_-

And just like with EG/Puma, i have no freaking problem with a team asking player directly if he is at all interested in some kind of deal, before bringing it up with the coach...

Honestly the only fucked up thing Coach Lee did was search Alive's computer without consent and print out the skype conversation. That just seems wrong to me.

where in any official releases was this mentioned.

he has evidence of the chat logs. that's all we have.

how he got it, is never released. another player could've found it. how do we know alive has his own 'personal' computer when players rotate on machines in team houses. another player could've overheard alive's skype convo and brought it to lee's attention.

how are we so quickly to jump on Coach Lee, when we know so little of the situation?

Because on the TIG interview I translated Alive specifically mentioned that the conversation was on his computer and he wonders how Coach Lee got his hands on it

'his computer' is kind of vague. Does he own his own PC in the team house? Or is it as someone above mentioned, that the entire team house is likely funded by Coach Lee, and he therefore owns the equipment, giving him the right to look at whatever he wants.

Guess what, maybe in europe it's illegal to search an employee's computer, but in the US, if there is reason for suspicion, an employer can search, and even dig through logs of your activity to see if there is reason for termination for breach of contract or employment obligations. That means if you're looking at kiddy porn on your PC, and an employer hears you might be doing that on work computers... they can search your PC, and if they find it, it IS evidence to be used to terminate you.

So if your employer suspect you might be talking to another company he has the right to look through your personal Skype-conversations? Thats pretty messed up.

well that's nothing new. If you are using equipment provided to you by your employer, they have every right to that equipment. period. it is not yours. it belongs to the company, not you. you were merely the user.

It's legal, it's not ethical however. Especially when you're supposed to have a close personal relationship like manager and player, supposedly have.

If I was GOM, I'd ban alive from the gsl for breach of contract. These things are hurting esports (haha), through severe punishments gom can inject real professionality into the esports scene and make shady teams like EG and Fnatic actually respect korean teams. Hell, I'd ban the entire fnatic team from competing in the gsl (for a season, obviously not indefinitely).

I really can't believe how many people in this thread only blame Coach Lee/TSL, it blows my mind.

Much has been said here and I don't think I can add much of significance, but I'm sure there's much more to it than just Coach Lee "blowing things out of proportion" and "being a backstabbing asshole", I mean, WTF?

It just shows that there's a long way to go yet for Esports and I hope this situation gets resolved quickly and quietly, at least quieter than the first few acts of this drama.

It's just Coach Lee mauling another of his players before they leave to maintain discipline, why do we keep giving him so much attention?

TSL has problems this is nothing new, just wait until the dust settles and we get the full story.

Later Coach Lee called me over and showed me the printed out copy of the conversation. Seeing as how the conversation was done in Skype on my computer I wonder how he got it.

It's perfectly possible to be logged in the same Skype account on 2 machines. So maybe aLive forgot to logout his account in the training house when he left .

TSL is not short of issues relating to players. They really need to work on communication between coaches and players. Maybe the coach has scared players to not talk to other teams or something.

However they don't have the right to break in to personal e-mail etc. Skype falls under that catagory, so I'm gonna assume that Coach Lee didn't guess aLive's password but that he was still logged in. If Coach Lee put in the password or obtained it without permission... then that is breach of privacy, at least where I live ;p

People are blaming Coach Lee because this shit keeps happening to TSL. If this was the first time there was a little controversy surrounding a player leaving for another team, people would probably be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But how many players have jumped ship now? 7? Obviously there is something wrong within TSL, and Coach Lee lashing out at all of the teams that pick up his skilled players doesn't help his image.

Which is more likely, that TSL isn't such a great team to be a part of and players went looking for greener grass, or there is some sort of conspiracy against Coach Lee and there is a coalition of foreign teams trying to take his players out from under him?

Also doesn't help that he pulled a (what should have been confidential) conversation from aLive's Skype. Totally shady, paranoid, and possessive. Nobody wants to play for a guy like that, it just breeds ill will.
