Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it. |

Seems to me like he acts on emotions rather than reason. Good point. Turns out that EG's "poaching" of Puma was completely legal anyway, and Fnatic's "scandal" might not have even ever happened -.-' It just seems like Coach Lee jumps the gun and exaggerates things before understanding what happened on the other side of the coin. And that's probably because- while he's a great Coach- he's apparently pretty poor at running the business end of his team (not keeping players on contracts, not knowing what players are talking to what other teams, etc.).
I don't think there's enough evidence at all to support that he's a great coach in any shape or form, there's tonnes of evidence to show that everyone who is coached by him seems to want to leave fairly often and it's not like TSL has been close to as successful as the Slayers and IMs of this world. Like he gets so much implied respect just because he was an MBC assistant coach (notably a team that had very little success after Bisu left and with whom July did not enjoy his time at all) and was in a few episodes of Hyungjoon wants to be a progamer or whatever it was called, but on the face of results and media attention he's not proven to be a great coach, team manager or anything other than a talent scout. It doesn't mean you should hate the guy personally for it but there sure is a lot of undue accolades being placed on the dude as part of some weird 'we must respect the korean scene at all costs' nonsense.

FFS, aLive admitted that it was his fault. Can we stop blaming everything on coach Lee now?

So Alive still hasn't signed with Fnatic? Even if that's the case, the fact that he made contact with any Fnatic affliate and discussed a possible employment behind TSL's back is pretty bad. Sure it isn't like the end of the world, but try and see it from Coach Lee's perspective. Why would Alive leave the team if he didn't have anything set up? He knows Alive has been courted behind his back and that's not right. If Fnatic had any interest in signing Alive, they needed to go through the team not the player, even if it's the player who initiated contact. It's called common courtesy and there's a reason why there are strict regulations in place in most if not all professional sports. It's to prevent clubs and teams poaching players without the former team receiving fair compensation.
Now I understand that ESPORTS or SC2 doesn't have any regulatory bodies or trade systems in place, but that's no excuse for teams to start backstabbing each other. I imagine Fnatic would be outraged too if one of their players discussed employment with another team without their knowledge. Now I don't know the specifics of Alive's contract with TSL or how it was terminated, but if Fnatic had approached them legitimately, they would've had to buy Alive's contract out. The fact that he seems to have left TSL without any drama suggests Coach Lee had no idea Alive had this deal set up. Whatever you want to call it, it's poaching, and it's bad. If there were rules in place, Fnatic would be heavily fined and penalised. Just because there aren't means you can go around screwing people over. That always leads to a dark road.

This many issues arising with TSL makes me suspect there's something wrong with how that team is being managed.

"It seems he talked about transferring teams with Fnatic's translator. Fnatic is denying responsibility by saying it's something the translator did on his [or her] own, but that's nonsense. I'm angry that they didn't approach me officially, and went to the player directly." He obviously accuse Fnatic of lying which then could be seen as badmouthing which then could be worth taking legal actions ... how unprofessional and unmannered he can be untill you stop defending him?

Agreed, I don't really get how people can still back this guy up. It's hard to rationalize the fact that people steadily leave the team with the opinion that this guy's just a coach with a heart of gold or something.

Dude, he is a well respected Coach. I don't know how much you know about BW, but he is very good at what he does. And seeing as a lot of shit like this seems to happen when dealing with Koreans (think NASL 2) a big part of it might just be the Korean culture.
