Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it.

When will players learn that contracts are important? Artosis needs to hold a seminar and tell them that contracts are not things that can be disregarded at a whim.

hmm, knowing fnatic from the cs scene, makes me feel like there are more to it then we know. Fnatic have allways tried to do the "right" thing when it comes to players joining/leaving and contracts/salary payment. So I think I'll wait and see on this one.

clearing the facts from the drama posts from all the information I've collected so far about this issue:

1) Coach Lee is the owner/manager/coach of TSL. He is the ultimate authority in the team. It is impossible for a coach-management dispute unless he suffers from split personality syndrome -_-

2) The terms of the contract between aLive and TSL are known by nobody besides those 2. So stop the gossip about who's right and who's wrong. We can all wait for fnatic's statement regarding this issue to clarify on this matter, as well as an official statement from Coach Lee, if he makes one. Being furious and saying I'm taking you to court is one thing and then calmy recollecting your thoughts and giving a statement of the events that transpired is another thing.

3) There was NO fnatic player staying or training in the TSL house besides Rain. ToD is the only other fnatic player in Korea and he stays at the GOM house. The whole allegation that "we let them stay here and they poach our player" is unfounded in my opinion, as Rain was a ex-TSL player and regards Lee very highly and Coach Lee considers Rain almost like a son from what I've heard. There was no training going on in TSL house for fnatic players besides Rain. Talks of a partnership transpired by the whole "only signing was left and then they backed out and took aLive with them so the whole partnership was only a backdrop to poach aLive" seems highly exaggerated. There needs to be clarity on this issue as well.

Sources would help to really validate your points. I can't wait to see how this unfolds.

He let Fnatic train in his house with his team. He tried to partner with Fnatic. Apparently the translator from Fnatic talked Alive into leaving TSL. Alive has a contract.

Anyone would be pissed if this happened. If the story is true, then Fnatic did pretty much the dirtiest thing you could ever do in e-sports. Do you think someone like FXOBoss would be okay with allowing another foreign team to practice with his team and then suddenly leave with Gumiho or Leenock in their back pocket?

Come on now.

I'm going to wait on my judgement until there is facts that Alive was under contract. Poaching players is disrespectful, not only to the other team but the community. Having a black mark per say to your teams name, is going to make Fnatic a no-name Foreigner team. What Korean team would want to even think about partnering with a team who has a black mark about poaching?

But like I said, at this stage there isn't any facts that Alive was coerced to leave, and there isn't any facts that Alive was under a contract. Until they are released I'll -try- not have a judgement into this, but if they did.. ohh boy, this is going to become hell for Fnatic to clean up.

aLive was under contract. It's 100% fact.

Ohh I suppose I should read the last sentence of the OP >_<

But is there any proof that Fnatic coerced Alive to join them? Throwing around that term is kinda hefty, suppose' asking you is probably the best way to get an answer because you're Mr. Insider! :p

There must be more to this. Fnatic acquired TSL's ace player behind the coaches back with a partnership nearly completed? I find it hard to believe they would make a move like that. The Puma fiasco wasn't *that* long ago for 2 sides (Fnatic, Alive) here not to know better by now. Hopefully what happened becomes more clear than what is in the OP.

It was kinda fishy that there was so much hype for the the acquisition of Moon into Fnatic.
But there was no hype at all for Alive who is a Code S player.
IMO There is some shady stuff going on Fnatic.
Play your best

Most regular employment contracts have a standard clause to terminate employment given due notice as it is fairly easy to acquire replacements that are up to par.
However, that doesn't seem like a good idea to have those type of clauses for these specific unique skills based contracts, so probably not the case here.

I was aware that Fnatic "coerced" him to leave, however I was NOT aware they didn't buy out his contract.

I had heard from a secondary source that they DID in fact buy out the contract, but I can't confirm that.

Okay. This is a shit argument, because we already know that over time, people don't give a shit: EG and SlayerS, for instance, say hello, and I believe that was bigger news due to a.) the novelty of it, and b.) the fact that it happened right after PuMa won NASL. Add the fact that EG was involved, and the blow-up was even larger. The only difference here is that aLive had a contract, in which case, it is aLive's fault for allegedly breaching the terms of his contract. (Fnatic should probably not have encouraged this behavior, however.)

ZeNEX, btw, also accused SlayerS of poaching Taeja. Rekrul claims that Lee poached FD and Tester from oGs. I'm sure if you dig even deeper, you'll find more examples of "poaching" going on in the scene. The Korean scene really isn't all that clean and white as you seem to suggest.

There must have been a LOT of coaxing to get Alive to join after what TSL has been through. Seriously, if you're still on TSL by this point it meant you were dedicated to the team goal thick and through, so I find it hard to believe it was just a little chat on the side.

Hmm.. I don't think anyone would want to deal with Fnatic now that they coerced and poached a player from a team that they were trying to get a partnership with. I dunno' I'll be interested to see what Fnatic has to say about this in their statement, I feel like Fnatic players are probably going to feel the pressure of being on a team with such a major ethic and legal violation.

It's made the relations so strained EG is now in a partnership with SlayerS. Oh yeah.

TSL/Western relationships might be wrecked, though.

EDIT: I wish people could read. THERE WAS A CONTRACT. IF YOU ARE BEING SUED FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT, THERE IS A CONTRACT. Jesus.

Lol.. if EG takes a player from SlayerS, Jessica will make sure they don't leave Korea alive.

Jessica will see to the destruction of EG within the hour

Haha its very rare that I literally lol but the image of Jessica single handedly tearing down EG got me...

She give me that stalker yandere feel, for the sake of SlayerS she will do anything. Like Gasia Yuno
