Perhaps MC wanted to be with his girlfriend more, on top of whatever salary SK offered him.
Another thing is, if MC doesn't get as much money as he can get now, I think once SC BW A-team players switch, MC will have low chance, may be none at all, to win any big prize. I think those days are close.
it is NOT the same at all. he cannot replace the korean practice house environment with what he has with SK. not even close. tbh this is not good for mc but man it is hard to turn down big money.
Yeah because I'm sure all of the OGs players would turn down a game with MC or all of the entire pro Starcraft league in general.
I have never heard of a case of players from team A thanking players from team B by helping them practice to beat a player.
Just because you don't live in a team house doesn't mean you lose all of your connection to the Starcraft community. He isn't going to lose any practice partners because of his departure from OGs, to think so is cynical and coming from a small minded vindictive attitude.
So I'm reading your post thinking "Yeah, this guy has got it right" But damn man, that last sentence is bit harsh don't you think?

Well it isn't meant to be interpreted that way but it seems that people on this forum put themselves in the bodies of OGs players and think "Oh I hate MC for leaving and taking advantage of an enormous opportunity I will never practice will him again", and that's just not how it works. He will still have plenty of people to practice will IF he chooses to.
Now him leaving the house may allow certain character defects to take precedence which may effect his play negatively. But his play won't be affected in the lack of practice partners, that I can assure.
To me that is a vindictive attitude, and that's just not how it works. I apologize if I come off harsh but the ignorance of most of the posters is above and beyond.

Just wanted to note that Golgotha was talking about a team house enviroment, which - in theory - should motivate players to practice better in terms of quantity and quality. And that certainly is true.
Anyways, MC is no idiot. Let's see what the future holds in store for him under the SK banner.
YAY. Puma and JYP making others realise that foreign organizations give better opportunities. NASL comes to mind, when all Koreans had to abandon cos no-one paid their travels. Also MKP in MLG.

Nope. In my opinion, the truth is regardless of having pretty much the same practice partners (which he obviously will), when you lose the team house you lose the discipline, you lose the constant SC environment, and very importantly, you lose your coach.
There's a lot more to practicing for something than playing practice games. This applies to anything in life.

Even if he does play with his former team mate from time to time, it should be obvious that it's no longer a priority of their to keep playing with him.
If Supernove has to practise TvT for an upcomming GSL game, do you think TOP will say "I can't man I'm playing with this former team mate of ours."? Of course not, he'll help his team mate out first and foremost. Will TOP help MC out when he has nothing else to do? Probably, but MC's practise possibilities are at best diminished.
Even disregarding that, and assuming MC can practise with oGs all he wants, nothing can compare to living 24/7 with other gamers, discussing SC2 all day long, and the motivation that comes from living in a competitive environment.
Then again all that might just be becasue I'm a small minded cynic with a vindictive attitude (and because I'm killing esports). Right?
Once again: Nestea doesn't live in a team house either. No 24/7 constant sc2 talking for him. Even though he has a team, both are not lacking practice aprtners
