mC also lose access to one of the best coaches, thewind and the help from his teammates by leaving oGs. Hopefully this works well for everyone :D GL MC and oGs lol only @ TL can you go from a 3% chance to get out of your group to best player in a day. wasn't it 3% on gomtv.net and not tl.net?

Yeah, that was from gomtv.net. But if you look at the liquibet stats it was 4.1%, not that far off.

the question is... why ??? oGs one of the best teams out there and playing in a house with that many members and trainers should be better than living on his own o.O

I hope he does well in SK and that SK has got starcraft right once and for all. We all remember their BW "allstar team" :D

Are you really asking why ?
It is obvious, money money money !
SK can offer him a better salary than oGs and can aswell send him to all international tournaments he wants to attend.

What exactly have supernova done to be called the no1 player in oGs? Or anyone else for you to put them at over MC?

A lot of players leaving oGs lately :o This is concerning! Once the team with the most Code S players and now they even lost their champion. ;(

Some reasons:
1. Wanted to live for himself and oGs denied it since it is their strict policy that team members have to live in the team house.
2. Had some arguments with team mebers and did not get along well anymore.
3. Better support from SK for foreign tournaments.
4. A monthly income, while oGs did not pay at all (SK may pay German standards which is above South Korean level).
5. A friendship with Reis and general love for Germany. I know for a fact that Germany is in high regards in South Korea).

Wonder how many casters will slip up on the new tag, gotta be reflex saying oGsMC by now, like the Naniwa 2GD thing.

very unexpected, SK must have had sick good offer. great for him, hope the training works out though, since he's on his own
i'd hopeeeee that this means maybe SK working towards picking a team back up!

i bet SK mousepad sells increase by a significant amount.

Where have you got this information from? Private source?

per thisisgame interview,
1) There are no issues with oGs team or its members.
2) MC says he wants to focus on foreign tournaments because there are only 5 GSLs this year.
3) He says his return to oGs is still possible down the road.
4) He is currently living in Seoul (not oGs team house) while preparing for his next GSL match. He doesn't think there will be any problems with his practice since he is in good repoire with other progamers (in my opinion, it will be mostly laddering though).
5) oGs coach is sad to see one of the founding members go, but wishes him all the luck. He also says he's concerned about how so many Korean progamers are eager to join foreign teams which could weaken the Korean SC2 pro scene.

Wow didnt expect something like this to happen

if rumours are to be believed, it's closer to 10k a year and travel.

Constantly flying to overseas tournaments will hurt his practise time and play. MC was absolutely dominating until he started flying all over, losing out on practise time and eventually turning from best player into great player.
I guess he wants to do so for the easy money though, its too hard to win GSLs after all.
