good luck to mc in his new team ) They visit the IM house frequently, which is why it works out for them with MC he isn't getting the same treatment they are since he's pretty much leaving the house. His skill will definitely go down, if you look at Puma he essentially did the same thing and people can agree his skill has dropped dramatically since TSL. Wait, what? He didn't make any impact in GSL before the switch. He didn't make any impact in GSL after the switch. Why would people agree that his skill level dropped "dramatically"? I wouldn't say his skill level dropped, I think it's more correct to say his development as a player slowed down and pretty much stagnated since the switch. He's the same player he was when he switched, he hasn't adapted or improved.

Puma was still living for a while in the TSL house and trained with them and after he left he still played with them and others (like oGsTOP etc.). The switch did nothing to his skill lvl. He still defeated many great Korean players at MLGs.
Same with MC. His skill won't decline, he will still find plenty of players who want to practise with him. And also, MC knows what he is doing, he knows exactly what waits for him when he signed that contract. Maybe SK gets additional players or they will get a partnership with an other team

First reaction was ; Really? Second thought was ; Like a BOSS

Didn't see this coming at all.

oGs isn't dead! He will still practice with his old team-mates, how stupid are people in this thread! You don't need to be on the same team to play custom-games on ladder -_-

Yea right, players only practice with their teammates....

Wait.... What? Mind is blown.

man i did'nt see this coming and i dont know if i like this.... oke he'll probably have the same practice partners and be making alittle more money... but he has no coach... also he wont be playing in any team tournaments...... also probably the thing i fear the most his motivation he wont have the teamfibe like they have in the teamhouse i seen some video's where he has alot of fun with his teammates in the teamhouse. Now Mc will alwaise be alone wont have the social contact (irl) like he had before this could start to become really unmotivated.... im kinda scared...
|
MC? Forever alone? President of protoss is never alone, how hard is it for MC to contact his old mates. Anyway I'm pretty sure SK is going to have more players, MC is just the beginning.

/\ this I feel the same, lets give some time and see what happen, lets hope the Obama toss keep ravaging nerds in and out

i feel this is not going to work well for both sides, oGs ad MC. MC is no longer the no1 player on oGs. That is supernova or maybe Fin in the future (IMO) but MC is still the top few players in oGs. Now they do not have a strong protoss (HerO is in liquid) and oGs loses one of their ace players.
mC also lose access to one of the best coaches, thewind and the help from his teammates by leaving oGs. He has fallen off compared to MVP and the new players are already starting to take over, MMA jjiakji leenock Supernova etc... and without a teamhose i don;t know if he can keep up. Hopefully this works well for everyone :D GL MC and oGs

I really want to know what the relationship is like between MC and oGs. I hope someone asks an oGs player after the next GSL round.
|
MC was still the no1 player on ogs... its not cause he lost vs him in the groupstage that he is worse.....
|
|
MC just came of a big tourney win and made it into the ro16 while being really jet lagged and we talk about him slacking? Really? Also again him leaving the house does not mean that he will loose a single practice partner.
|
I like how a lot of people are posting here saying MC has made a mistake, yet nobody has any other information than a two-line statement on SK's website. The guys has won 2 GSL, he probably know how a progamer should train better than 99.99% of the posters on this thread.
