I dont think that this is good for MC, not living in a professional teamhouse can really hurt.

SK has to be paying MC ludicrious amounts of money in order for this to be worthwhile for him. Leaving all of his friends and practice partners in the oGs house is pretty clearly the wrong decision in order for MC to continue to develop as a player, which means that the reason that he is doing this has to be money....

They had a very famous CS team that I was a part of. They also had an extremely famous DOTA 1 team, you might know the name Loda since he was captain of that team for so long

OK, so what are the other full time members of SK's SC2 division.

No one is throwing rocks, we are just worried that he might lose skill level and get out of scene or get really bad, and that would be sad to all MC fans out there.

There seem to be 3 general responses in this thread:

1) WHAAAT?! [variation on that theme]

2) Hope his skill level doesn't go down

3) Hope SK pay him

With a couple of people thinking he "sold out".

Has there been an OGS manager comment on this yet? If he moved out I assume it was not a good breakup..

I hope they add more players to their lineup.

SK is generally a win or don't show up team like EG though so I can't imagine they'd settle for any less than the big names.

afaik nestea and mvp lives at home not in IM house, but they still get great practice (obviously since they are the best). MC might still practice with all the same practice partners as before, just at home. i wouldnt expect this to affect his results at all (unless being at home makes him less motivated to practice)

good luck to mc in his new team )

SK has no SC2 division, they had oGs.SK.MC and oGs.SK.Nada.
Now they have SK.MC and I guess still Nada.

Frankly, MC invented all by himself about 80% of the 1 to 2 bases all-in builds from Protoss, and he was the first to show at last a third of the Late-game tricks for protoss (like HT in shuttles to protect them from ghosts). I don't really think he needs a gaming house as much as the gaming house (and the protoss race) needs him. And i don't think he's going to have trouble finding training partners for custom games. Any GM player would gladly do it just to pley against the best protoss in the world.

Hmm interesting. I don't rly like this tbh... SK should rather spend some money to make foreigner pro houses or foreigners to Korea happen instead of hiring some superstart Korean :/

They visit the IM house frequently, which is why it works out for them with MC he isn't getting the same treatment they are since he's pretty much leaving the house. His skill will definitely go down, if you look at Puma he essentially did the same thing and people can agree his skill has dropped dramatically since TSL.

Wait, what? He didn't make any impact in GSL before the switch. He didn't make any impact in GSL after the switch. Why would people agree that his skill level dropped "dramatically"?

Additionally, Nestea and MVP are in the team IM. So whenever they want to train, their teammates will oblige.
Now that MC is out of oGs, that is not a given.

Before joining EG, he was pretty much TSL's up and coming player such as winning NASL then all killing a team in GSTL. Have to remember that NASL had many more koreans in season one and him coming from the opening bracket to win it showed a lot of potential in him. After leaving TSL he did fine at the start then started to degrade as more and more as time went on.

If you take a look at the majority of the Koreans who don't actually have that practice enviornment aren't doing that well for example whatever happened to Rain? He kinda just disappeared. Talking on skype with friends isn't the same as what you get in a team house or else NA wouldn't be struggling to compete against the Koreans.
