Why not swap his spot? Put Naniwa into Up/Down instead of kicking him out of the GSL entirely.
When can Naniwa try for GSL again? He's honestly so good right now, he's better than Idra or Sen and is more deserving of his Code S spot.

Yes, I am a jinro fan and I like listening to his interviews, reading them and I remember him saying it :D

Why not, you know, Puma, the guy who WON NASL? Why not a top ranking Korean like Nada or Polt? Why not the guy who was behind Naniwa at Providence in Huk or Haypro? Taiwanese audience. Sadly it's nothing to do with his actual play.

Quoted for truth, on a scale of 1 to 10 if this is what actually happened it's beyond stupid.

Edit: Or more tweets are coming out saying he did? WTF. If this is the case I'm not buying another season ticket. Not because I like nani, but because I fucking hate this kinda bullshit Yeah, I was on the fence of buying the yearly ticket but now I'm not going to bother. (It's not just the fact that they kicked out (if that's the case) Naniwa but a lot of small things adding up). For an organization valuing "professionalism" they sure have a weird way of showing it by arbitrarily inviting foreigners and such things.

They have an actual off-season this time so they certainly wouldn't have problem with just holding a small online tournament to determine who deserves the Code S. Because Idra and Sen are popular and they're selling season tickets. 'IDRA, HUK, AND SEN IN THE NEW SEASON OF GSL 2012!' will sell. They want new viewers/more money. That's all this is. You're being way too cynical here, shame on you. I've seen your posts a lot, you're better than this.

Starcraft is a professional game and we don't need attitudes and disrespect from people like Naniwa. Just be glad he's not banned for life, as he would if he pulled the same stunt in any Esport in Korea aka sc1

Then they decide to just invite more foreigners who did not put in results some other foreigners did do. Feels like GSL is not just about skill after all. Fucking joke.

This is exactly how I feel. I can't believe I'm actually legitimately upset over this but I am. Can't wait for Live on 3 tomorrow though for Scoots' take on it though

Well in 2012 KeSPA joins the fray so there are more tournaments! Of course the question is whether KeSPA is the lesser of two evils. Honestly if Naniwa did get kicked out I'll be disappointed. It should be a warning first IMO (well unless he agreed and signed to rules that stated it in which case GOMTV can't be fault then...). (Yes I know KeSPA doesn't do "warnings", or at least not in the past, but that doesn't mean GOMTV has to follow route.) Just be glad he's not banned for life, as he would if he pulled the same stunt in any Esport in Korea aka sc1 What happened in SC1 is completely different. Differences between this and SC1 match fixing: 1. Naniwa's game did not matter at all. There was nothing: no points, no money, no anything to play for. It was just a show match because both were at 3 losses (which means they're both out). In BW they were playing real games with stakes on the line but setting it to be fixed. 2. In this case Naniwa just gave up and probe rush. In BW they faked playing a real game but had the winner setup. 3. Finally in BW's case it was done for illegal gambling sites + obtaining profit from said sites for cooperating with them. In this case it was just a player giving up which is not similar.

Because it has to do with money and not the actual skill level of the players. The seeds have never gone to any Koreans because Gom wants to sell more season tickets. During NASL, the # of viewers super spiked during Sen's games. Sen is worth more money than Puma in terms of viewers

I said almost same thing few months ago when like 5 foreigns were invited to code A, and they all get destroyed in 1st round so I guess there is some justice, and tbh I dont see Idra doing well in code S. About possible Naniwa ban: I think he should be punished, but how big punishment should be I don't know, He needs to learn a lesson, thousand people watching, huge companies sponsoring players and events, its not a place to act like an unmature emotionally unstable badmanner and throw games even if they dont count. Hes already banned from ESL, he should also be banned from MLG since he trashtalk them on stage. Maybe he will learn to to think before act, or as I predicted months ago he will have no team that will want to sign with him, and he will have no big tournaments that will allow him to play.

GOM can enforce their rules however they please, give me a break.
