Please discuss IdrA and Sen in Code S January in this thread. |

At least Naniwa earned his SPOT in MLG. They should have gone with the seeding sen and idra into up and downs. Direct seed is a joke and GOmtv was saying it wanted to keep the best of the best in Code S? When they don't think their seeded players can make it through the up and downs? Sen is a great player but some players in the up and downs deserved it more.

Why Sen?
I...don't...get it. Why does Sen get the spot? Yes, he got third at NASL and Blizzcon. Why not, you know, Puma, the guy who WON NASL? Why not a top ranking Korean like Nada or Polt? Why not the guy who was behind Naniwa at Providence in Huk or Haypro?

No, it's not weird at all. Sure, it was a dick movie on Naniwa's part, but had GSL not allowed players to play a pointless match, this never would've happened in the first place. I'm not so sure I wanted to see two players perform while pulling punches "for the sake of entertainment" anyway. And what reason does GSL have for throwing Naniwa out? Do they have a rule that explicitly states players may not act like dicks?
hey guess what? if naniwa had not acted like a dick, this would've never happened. oh and you want to talk rules? there's also no rule stating they can't do whatever they want.

This is awesome and completely justified, Naniwa got what was coming to him for not having one ounce of respect for the Korean e-sports industry and shitting on their tournament and the fans. I hope he finally starts to realize that his actions have consequences..

I agree with this. I was looking for a great game and all a got was a minute of crap. It was a big disappointment. Why would GOM want a player like that in their tournament?
You cant purposely throw a game on that big of a stage and not expect the organization to punish you. Just think if a major football team just decided to lay-down every snap during a game....people would be outraged.

Id love to see him back and maybe even playing vs IdrA in GSL again ^.^ Jinro was offered it awhile ago but he declined because he wants to earn his spot. Im talking about the next season. Jinro declined it when he thought he wasnt good enough for it. But failed very close on making it into Code A twice after those offers. I think he may changed his mind because of this. If not he will win his Code A Spot anyways! HOPE!
I don't think so, Jinro seems to really want to earn his spot and not take an invite. I could be wrong maybe he'll read my comment but I am pretty sure he still thinks that way ^^.

Where the hell are the GSL rules anyway? I remember seeing them once and never again.

Is this true? That's pretty sick if it is. Code S isn't just about prestige, it's also about $. Respect for Jinro, hope he can get there.

I would hate to be a Korean player busting his gut out going through B/A to see somebody else get an auto-entry.

No surprise there ... GSL creates inferior tournament formant that can result in pointless games. Punish player. Oh btw look over here! ITS DAVID KIM!!!!! Maybe GOM should concern themselves with figuring out how to broadcast in actual HD(Not the bullshit they call HD), creating tournaments that don't have redundancies that result in these circumstances.
Korean SC should swallow the "Holier Than Thou" routine already or just change GOM's name to KESPA Jr.

Fair point, but above that, Rain is actually suspended from the GSL (may have expired) for abruptly leaving and Live forever doesnt ahve the qualifications. IdrA can definitely be argued to be deserving based on skill.

funny how naniwa didn't break any written rule of GSL and he still gets banned. Nice

AFAIK, SlayerS made Coca give up his Code S seed, not GOM? And yes, it is their tournament, an they can do what they want. If less viewers is what they want, they got it.

Well this was definitely coming ...

First of all if they are really led by the principles of "we need more viewers", their organization is a joke.
They try to uphold the intergrity of the competition by kicking Naniwa out, but then they shit on the integrity of the competition by randomly handing out invites for spots that you need to qualify for (and other players attempted to qualify for).

Is there an official statement about Naniwa being kicked out? And who the hell goes to Up/Downs in Foreigner seeds now then?
