Naniwa is just really really really bad mannered in general. Teams kick him, he insults korean progamers in interviews, etc. He acts like Major aka princess aka terran, and people like that are not professional enough to participate in prestigious tournaments. But hey, its my opinion, which is nothing worth, so let's move on.

It's pretty clear GOM is getting desperate for viewers/subscriptions when they try every way possible to give non-koreans free passes into the most difficult, most prestigious league in SC2. Meanwhile better players are fighting for their careers in Code Hell ... Idra left your league because he felt it wasn't worth it stay when the foreign scene continued to grow. Now that he is back in Korea he should have to work his way back to Code S. The Sen invite is just random as hell. I completely agree, you ruin the prestige of your tournament by doing this. However from an economic point of view, it is a good decision. SC2 is dead sport in Korea, relative to SC1. When Kespa makes their own leagues, they could potentially put GOM out of business.

We need to set up a petition or some kind of community rally to make some noise at least to how ridiculous GOM is acting in this. They have a terrible format with no rules stating probe rush isnt allowed, then ban a player who follows their shitty rules? Unbelievable really.

Idra's spot should go to the highest ranked GSL player not in Code S after Up-and-Downs between Polt, July, Nada. Ive read a few of your posts through out this thread and I know where youre coming from. But heres what we know, Gom is heading out a (or 2) code S spots. If thats the case, IdrA is just as deserving as anyone, more so than July or Nada. Also if you think about it from GOMs management/marketing department, it makes PERFECT sense. Afterall, gomtv is a business too. Since IdrA is my favorite player I may be biased but I dont really see a need for an uproar since IdrA is fully deserving of this. (Whether you can make this argument for a few others is irrelevant from a marketing standpoint. No one is as popular nor will they bring as many viewers as IdrA.)

Quite frustrating for the Korean players fighting constantly in Code A to earn a Code S spot and now suddenly two non-Korean players receive one. Also, does anyone has an update on Naniwa's code S spot? Reading the thread, on the korean stream supposidly mr.chae or however you spell his name said naniwa is banned from GSL, and some guy told Sen that as well he had his code S spot revoked.

Okay, so why not give the spot to Nada or Polt? Both higher ranked in GSL points than Idra and they have both made semifinals in the past few months. Idra got the spot because he's popular and GSL wants more foreigners so that their tickets sell. It's not because his skill is above all others trying to qualify that he needs to go straight into Code S. I like Idra. I want him in Code S. But I want to see him earn it by testing his skills in Up-and-Downs.
