Please discuss IdrA and Sen in Code S January in this thread. |
Gom giving out free code S without a competition players like Hero/Puma/sase have to qualify while sen which has 0 acheivements at MLG or GSL gets in code S without a reason. A small case can be made for Idra as he did well in MLG
And Naniwa which qualified and just due to a probe rush has lost his GSL spot... In the future no cannon rush/4gate/6pool can be done as it is inappropriate and has too low chance of winning?? WTF GOM...

NBA players get suspended when they shoot basket in their own goals to achieve milestones. What's wrong with that

In such a big tournament you just have to act professional, and he just can't. will you shut up you drama queen. he was rushing to leave game so did only one g by accident and he probe rushed because he was playign a meaningless game ina bullshit tournament structure.. hell in up and down games in regular season you dont play when you are already out... so whats the big deal. You don't just miss a g. Do you see a korean GSL player miss a g? No. The games are NEVER meaningless, the viewers always want a nice great match. If I was in charge I would make sure that this kid would never be allowed to participate in ANY tournament. not true, ive seen it happen on more than one occassion...typically followed by them retyping the full "gg" but regardless it does happen...and even if it didn't...its not a big deal. Idra has no gg'ed in GSL and it wasn't a problem. I understand the korean culture is different, but i feel without a doubt that if someone else had done it that they wouldn't have taken such harsh measures, especially for a game without meaning. Naniwa shouldn't have done what he did, but this is being blown out of proportion. That is wrong, Idra gg'd in GSL in every match I watched (which was all I believe). Don't know where you got he didn't gg in gsl lol.
Pretty sure i remember him vs zenio or some other zerg, and he didn't gg. They even asked him why no gg and he made some smart-ass comment. Although this is the only one i can htink of, im almost certain there was another in his last GSL run. Regardless there deffinetly was atleast one...dont know where you where in that match
Edit: Found the game, WAS vs Zenio, and it was from NASL, so i withdraw my statement until i can find an actual case

Not trolling, wanted to screeenshot was 0.2 seconds late .... I don't think a lot of people are going to be happy about that. Seems kind-of like a harsh punishment IMO are you suprised after Coca incident? on the topic, this is a joke, Idra was scheduled to play up-and down matches anyway why not let him finish that and just get codeS? At least we would know if hes capable of beating Koreans. As far as I know it was SlayerS who punished Coca and not GOM. GOM had no jurisdiction as it wasn't in their tournament.
This time they do.
Either way wow they just sent a huge message to everyone.

It's kind of weird how one player's immaturity has shifted so much of the blame to GOM.

Did he not do that when he made it to the Ro16 of Code S? No, he earned a spot for the GSL season after that not for every season he wants to play. Should have picked the player with the most GSL points or play it out in an extra tournament.

They should be embarrassed. But they should respond to that embarrassment by firing the person who designed their tournament format and take responsibility as the organizer.
First they punish a player because he didn't indulge into playing a game just for show, without even being clear on whether any rules were broken in the first place, and instead they hand out free Code S invites to players who didn't even try to qualify.
They made so many mistakes on so many levels in the last week it's not even funny.

Already are for just Idra/Sen getting code S

I know Jinro wouldnt take it but I hope he gets offered a Code A Spot! Id love to see him back and maybe even playing vs IdrA in GSL again ^.^

I'm not against Idra getting a free code S seed, but if this is actually meaning Naniwa lost his EARNED seed, then GomTV just lost a viewer, like... forever.

Do you really believe in what you say? Why his accomplishements half year ago/year ago should take priority over people strugling right now? Because he proved to be a good code S player year ago?

If Naniwa is being punished by losing his code S spot, GSL has become a fucking joke. Forget that season ticket, will wait until Naniwa is back on GSL to give them a penny.

If they did indeed kick naniwa out and gave the spot to idra, i'll have two reasons to not watching this season of GSL.

It is mainly a clash of cultural values and perspectives. Individualism versus Utilitarianism. Naniwa may not have violated the tournament's rule but he definitely deserved the punishment for lacking respect.

The message is: We don't make mistakes, only players can make mistakes. In our tournament it's okay to throw matches, but you have to pretend. Not so impressed.
