That is why they are changing it for this coming year.
are you serious? they wouldve made it into pool play anyway? what a joke of a statement. yeah but u dontk now what there changing exactly its mostly gonna have the same concept anyways

Don't see what the big deal is, if someone isn't where they belong they'll disappear anyways. You could argue foreigners shouldn't be getting free code a spots through mlg either but that doesn't seem to be a big deal.

Who is more deserving than Sen? How about every fucking player in Code B/A that keeps trying hard every god damn season?
Edit: I'm glad for Idra and Sen, but they should have earned their way into the tournament through a wild-card tourney of sorts.

HEY LOOK! it's like someones reacting like the world is ending again. Good lord.

technically someone doesn't have to get eliminated they may have like a play in match between the lowest seed and idra then they go into the normal bracket

Not trolling, wanted to screeenshot was 0.2 seconds late who's ogsparkjeso? Might be oGsTheWind (oGs's coach)?

.... I don't think a lot of people are going to be happy about that. Seems kind-of like a harsh punishment IMO

I wouldn't be surprised if he got an invite but declined it, he doesn't seem interested in gsl at all.
if they gave him a code s I'm sure he hang around and try it once, but playing through up and downs etc isn't worth his time, but I guess stephano doesn't BM so he wont get the viewers idra will

Man if they really booted Nani, and invited 2 guys instead of having some special tourny for the up and down guys im gunna be really sad.

Because Koreans take the spots of like...Incontrol. In this case GOM is screwing Koreans that have been busting their ass to attain Code S by just inviting people because their foreigners, and there are plenty of people in Code A that are better and deserve the spot more than Idra.
starcraft has never been about rewarding effort. theres no prize money for trying your little heart out. and there have been many players in code s who have been "bad", its hardly a 1 way thing.

Both Sen and Idra straight into code S while Naniwa gets the boot? Gomtv is smart knowing that foreigners won't make it in the brutality that is code A. Naniwa getting kick out because of this is ridiculous.
|
I think like Cloud / Jinro as well. The GSL is the most prestigious and competitive tournament in the world. I know foreigners have a more difficult time competing for various reasons, but it's absolutely possible if you have the dedication, see Huk.
I wish they would be more transparent with their free invites, and lastly stop it, because i feel like the Koreans that work so hard get pretermitted.

Well that came out of left field.
Good luck to Sen and Idra then!
|
Edit: forgot about the invite slots
|
Why sen? o.o hope it's not because he's popular ...... The IdrA choice somewhat makes sense though.
|
Gom isn't really consistent with their invite system which sucks. Can't say I'm too unhappy about this because it's really exciting to see IdrA in Code S but I'd rather see them give the free spot to a wildcard tournament winner or something that's fair play.
Also if they removed Naniwa from Code S based on the probe rush game, now that's just fucking silly.
|
Congrats to IdrA! Once he gets out of group stages, he'll be able to perform at his absolute peak-- all that time to prepare for opponents. Delicious. Delicious

In such a big tournament you just have to act professional, and he just can't. will you shut up you drama queen. he was rushing to leave game so did only one g by accident and he probe rushed because he was playign a meaningless game ina bullshit tournament structure.. hell in up and down games in regular season you dont play when you are already out... so whats the big deal.
You don't just miss a g. Do you see a korean GSL player miss a g? No. The games are NEVER meaningless, the viewers always want a nice great match. If I was in charge I would make sure that this kid would never be allowed to participate in ANY tournament.
