Why did Idra get into Code S over other foreigners/players? I would bet on it that the reason is simply because of his imago and how known he is.

Indeed, hes good by foreign standards but i would hardly say hes code s material =/
I wish they would have just made a wildcard tournement for the remaining 12 people in code a qualifiers from Ro24 like they did in the past

He had a Code S spot when he left. Aside from the questions surrounding the players who have lost spots, the IdrA move seems completely fair and well deserved, imo.

should have invited Stephano tbh I guess EG made some calls and Idra has the legion of fanboys so it is a smart marketing move in their eyes

Pretty sure stephano has said he doesn't want to play in GSL because it takes to long and potential money loss for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he got an invite but declined it, he doesn't seem interested in gsl at all.
When I think of something else, something will go here

Realistically I can only see it being MVPsC, because of his medical problems

If it is Naniwa, then seems like a harsh punishment :/

sC seems like he's all better. Unless something else has come up? I doubt it though given he recently played for MVP in the IPL TAC.

Because Koreans take the spots of like...Incontrol. In this case GOM is screwing Koreans that have been busting their ass to attain Code S by just inviting people because their foreigners, and there are plenty of people in Code A that are better and deserve the spot more than Idra.

Can't say idra and sen deserve it based on recent performance, but it's nice for them. If it's because naniwa was thrown out of code S, I think it's pretty bad example of all blame being put on the player. GOMs tournament-system is flawed, time to take a look at that.

Wait who was the highest non-Code S player in Providence who doesn't have a Code S spot now?

Or maybe that he is a previous Code S player and was never eliminated? Also he was competing in the up and downs anyways and I read somewhere that Stephano declined a Code A slot?

I can understand Idra a little bit because he was already in Up & Downs, but isn't Sen just coming out of left field for anyone else?

With how they've changed the format, I don't think it's as big of a deal to give a few spots to Idra/Sen

I hope whoever dropped out played terran because frankly I don't want to see any tvts if at all possible. Even though I don't like his personality too much, I've always been a huge fan of Idra's play and I will definitely be watching his games and rooting for him.

more deserving? where have you been? sen is without a doubt one of the strongest programers and has the skill to compete with koreans, and his results have shown that

Somewhat agree, also to a player who does not really deserve gifts for his awsome additude.

Idra in code S would love it if he actualy played for it and earned it.

idra was code s the entire time he was in korea, why are people surprised he was invited back in? he left on good terms, it makes sense..

No it doesn't make even the slightest bit of sence, but now they can invite him to bring a ton of viewers and say "hey he was in code s before it's fine". If koreans think the recent shit was a spit on their face wtf do they think about this.

Its most likely Sc due to his health problem.
If they dropped nani they would just be stupid, they don't want to loss foreign viewership.

I think that it is obviously Naniwa. It is the most plausible scenario. And also to give it to a foreigner (I realize that viewership is HUGE), pride is on the line. It would seem out of place to give a foreigner a Code S spot if another Korean had to leave due to some personal circumstance.

Just my thoughts

Huk, then Haypro, and then Idra.

And I don't get the Sen thing. Why?
