Please discuss IdrA and Sen in Code S January in this thread. |

Indeed, hes good by foreign standards but i would hardly say hes code s material =/ I wish they would have just made a wildcard tournement for the remaining 12 people in code a qualifiers from Ro24 like they did in the past

can you confirm this?

if naniwa is removed, this is setting a terrible precedent. gom are basically saying if you cheat, we leave it up to your team to decide your punishment, but if you are BM we will take action ourselves.
|
i still can't believe anyone at all is defending naniwa either we're fuckin around playing a video game or this is a sport line's in the sand, dudes
|
Hmmmm, there were no other players in Korea who would deserve - seeing results in thel ast months - a Code S spot way more? Dont really get this "we just invite some 'random' foreigner" politics...
|
if naniwa got removed and SEN of all the programers (i mean sens amazing but more deserving players) then GOM is just going a little insane with power..

Yeah this is the most likely thing, but if Sen got invited to... I dont know.. I would be so sad if NaNi gets booted
|
should have invited Stephano tbh I guess EG made some calls and Idra has the legion of fanboys so it is a smart marketing move in their eyes
|
why people getting so mad GSL players get into pool play at MLG but nobody says anything but when a player of idras cailber and his popularity goes into GSL code S people start to complaining seriously/?
|
I know Idra is popular and GSL wants advertisement, but did he do anything to deserve this over all the other foreign players been in Korea? I still wish him good luck and I'm happy to see more foreign players in Code S but the fact GSL is giving random Code A and Code S spots to people is just wrong for all the hardworking players who have to go through insane tournaments to get their deserved spot.
edit: nevermind, I just read he was in Code S when he left. Then it makes perfect sense.

or maybe this is apart of the new gsl format...? and they need to kick start it somehow

The hell?
Sen and IdrA should have to play into that spot. What the hell this is fucking ridiculous. I mean yeah that's great for them and they have the skills but that shouldn't be handed to them.
This is ridiculous.
|
Gom is starting to become a popularity contest, invites going everywhere but to the more skilled players that have to play a ton of matches to reach code S.
GOM is becoming a joke tournament.
|
I hate it when they throw around invites like this, it's just disrespecting all the koreans who have to qualify for this <.<

Who is more deserving than Sen?

So, let's see:
Naniwa ---> Sen The extra Code S spot that was magically there ---> Idra
Why? Make a Wild Card spot. Make a qualifier. Do something. Just don't give it to popular players. It makes GSL look bush league. If you're going to be a hard ass on Naniwa and replace him because GSL is such a grand tournament, make it that you have to qualify for Code S.
|
I agree with Jinro they shouldnt just hand it out, they should rather have some online qualification for it. Oh well, I don't IdrA has what it takes yet to be Code S. His form lately has been kind of rusty.
|
Remember folks, Idra had a Code-S spot when he left Korea, so its kinda a logical thing to invite him.
|
if its naniwa... i will really be unhappy with GOM. This is a very bad desicion... There is no precedent to remove NaNi at all

Because they would have made pool play anyway. If anything one can make the argument that the seeding for pool play in MLG this year was ridiculous and undeserving for some players. That is why they are changing it for this coming year.
