He's not even that though. Sen and IdrA have both shown better results against better players before, and ret/dimaga have been much scarier when they're on their game (both can tend to be inconsistent). Stephano dodged all the good players at IPL3 and the other two tourneys he won lacked any real top-tier players. I guess his upcoming Blizzard Cup group will be a good display of him against top players, but I really can't see him going any better than 1-3 against MVP, MC, HerO, and DRG.

What. He dodged all the good players at IPL 3? He beat the players that beat the players. At ESWC he dominated Marineking in the semifinal. at IPL 4 UK qualifier he took out grubby,Sase and tails that had just 2-0 Ryung.

What results have Idra got thats better then Stephanos IPL 3, ESWC and IPL 4 uk qualifier. Only result Idra has got is his IEM china win over Elfi o.0

You cant even compare it

Wasn't going to get into this but Idra has beaten MC, Bomber, HuK, Puma...

Look at Idra's tournament runs though. Even through recent MLG's and tournaments. Now I'm not saying stephano is worse than idra, but Idra has definitely proved himself, and there's a lot of evidence to show, that he's one of the best foreigners. Stephano doesn't have enough tournament data points for people to justify yelling "STEPHANO ES NUMBER 1 FOREIGNER".

IdrA is lightyears away from what stephano already achieved in just a few months.

He never won any major tournament although he has been to 10x more and has been on the scene for far more longer.
You cant even compare them.

ps : everybody that plays Z know Im right. His timings are incredible, his game sense spectacular, his multitask is really good even with relatively low apm, his mechanics are perfect, he has a unique style.

Idra being like the only 2 zergs in the first 3 seasons of GSL code S.

Better start showing some respect, boy.

imo, Idra is still king, just cause he was such a boss in the initial seasons of the GSL.

Yes, he dodged all the good players at IPL3. No, playing the ones that beat them isn't even close to the same thing. He beat MKP doing silly builds while he was in his slump, and Grubby, Sase, and tails are all nowhere near the level of the people like I mentioned in his Blizz Cup group. Stop looking at results, and instead look at what happened/who he actually beat to achieve those results. At MLG and Dreamhack where the competition was much better, he placed much worse. It isn't rocket science.

So what ? You want to talk about FruitDealer too ? Is it relevant ? No.

Being good at a game nobody's understanding isn't an achievement.

IEM China?
IPL 1?
MLG?
ASUS?

I'm not even an Idra fan anymore but now you're just making up bullshit. (Btw Stephano has been on the scene for quite some time, he just couldn't win anything until recently. In fact he was participating in tournaments as early as November of 2010)

Just because IPL3 had 6x the prizepool of other tournaments does not mean it was 6x as difficult. (In fact it was probably a lot weaker than HuK's MLG and on par with IEM China)

Honestly Stephano fanboys are just as bad as Idra fanboys nowadays it seems. Why do I even bother talking to either of them -.-

Yeah Stephano is one of the very best foreigners but all this fanboyism is not justified yet.

Why is Dimaga there? He hasn't done anything recently.

IPL 1 and MLG was only vs NA opponents wtf. How in gods name do they even compare to Stephano´s ESWC, IPL 3 and IPL 4 UK qualifier. Also IPL 1 was online.

Making up bullshit? hardly

And do you really want me to find the player list from IPL 3 and compare it with IEM china becuase I can

All the tournaments you listed were US only, or just filled with very bad players.
IEM China was a joke with only 5 decent players.
The only decent tournament he did good was Asus ROG were he beats sjow, white ra and select. Very impressive ...

You cant be serious.

The first international tournament he went was home story cup where he rolfstomped huk and everybody, just beaten by thorzain and MC.
Then he went to assembly summer where he finished 3rd
then iem where he did poor results
then ipl3 and everybody knows what's next

You lie

also i'm tired to defend him against angry idra fanboys who think idra will always be the best regardless at his VERRY inconcistent results. You just have a way to compare, watch his stream, then you see he is better than idra for the simple reason he doesn't loose to cheeses or "non standard things" that idra is used to loose to And he is more complete in all his match-up, they are all pretty equal with P>Z>T but Idra just has good ZvT and that's it

Talk about making excuses wow, I can't even argue with you guys. Blind fanboyism ftw. (And btw, how the fuck can you be a fan of a guy who just plays for the money, and doesn't care about the game, honestly...) Just don't be upset when he doesn't turn out to be the god you all think he is.

IdrA is lightyears away from what stephano already achieved in just a few months.

He never won any major tournament although he has been to 10x more and has been on the scene for far more longer.
You cant even compare them.

IEM China?
IPL 1?
MLG?

Why do I even bother talking to either of them -.-

do you ever think IPL3 online qualification was a easy path ?_?

do you ever think online qualification is the same as a live event ?_?

I mean its not like your skill decrease of 50 % if its online or not. and the excuse of "it was at 5 am" when you can see koreans like bomber streaming very late, dont tell me they are not able to play all night long...

What the hell? Of course they are able too. Some people just think they play worse when they are exhausted then when they are fresh.
