Look at Idra's tournament runs though. Even through recent MLG's and tournaments. Now I'm not saying stephano is worse than idra, but Idra has definitely proved himself, and there's a lot of evidence to show, that he's one of the best foreigners. Stephano doesn't have enough tournament data points for people to justify yelling "STEPHANO ES NUMBER 1 FOREIGNER".

He never won any major tournament although he has been to 10x more and has been on the scene for far more longer.
You cant even compare them.

ps : everybody that plays Z know Im right. His timings are incredible, his game sense spectacular, his multitask is really good even with relatively low apm, his mechanics are perfect, he has a unique style.

Yes, he dodged all the good players at IPL3. No, playing the ones that beat them isn't even close to the same thing. He beat MKP doing silly builds while he was in his slump, and Grubby, Sase, and tails are all nowhere near the level of the people like I mentioned in his Blizz Cup group. Stop looking at results, and instead look at what happened/who he actually beat to achieve those results. At MLG and Dreamhack where the competition was much better, he placed much worse. It isn't rocket science.

IPL 1 and MLG was only vs NA opponents wtf. How in gods name do they even compare to Stephano´s ESWC, IPL 3 and IPL 4 UK qualifier. Also IPL 1 was online.

All the tournaments you listed were US only, or just filled with very bad players.
IEM China was a joke with only 5 decent players.
The only decent tournament he did good was Asus ROG were he beats sjow, white ra and select. Very impressive ...

The first international tournament he went was home story cup where he rolfstomped huk and everybody, just beaten by thorzain and MC.
Then he went to assembly summer where he finished 3rd
then iem where he did poor results
then ipl3 and everybody knows what's next

You just have a way to compare, watch his stream, then you see he is better than idra for the simple reason he doesn't loose to cheeses or "non standard things" that idra is used to loose to And he is more complete in all his match-up, they are all pretty equal with P>Z>T but Idra just has good ZvT and that's it

Just because IPL3 had 6x the prizepool of other tournaments does not mean it was 6x as difficult. (In fact it was probably a lot weaker than HuK's MLG and on par with IEM China)

I mean its not like your skill decrease of 50 % if its online or not. and the excuse of "it was at 5 am" when you can see koreans like bomber streaming very late, dont tell me they are not able to play all night long...


What the hell? Of course they are able too. Some people just think they play worse when they are exhausted then when they are fresh.
