Thanks for letting us know how much more intelligent you are than a whole group of different people, while you don't even know most of the people who belong in that group. What's next, ragging on justin bieber and then watching destiny's and incontrol's steam side by side?

You speak with alot of korean top players on a regulary basis? Or are you just saying what Idra with his Stephano envy is saying? The fact of the matter is the only zerg that is getting figured out is Idra. Look what Puma sayd in the NASL How can you figure someone out that plays so many differently styles I never got that argument Everytime I see that comment I lose faith in the human race

Even if people hate and troll it just reminds me that I'm not the only one passionate about SC2. When I watches Broodwar this place was a desert. We could all probably fit in one room together. Now i get pages and pages of flame and hate within minutes of posting about SC2 and it makes me feel all giddy inside. If someone reads this thread and asks themselves "What is SC2 and why is everyone so opinionatd about this thing" and then goes on to watch a VOD or replay they may become a fan. If one person, just one, joins our ranks because of this, I will consider this a success. Teamliquid Hwaiting! No. We are already watching him; your thread doesn't add anything, sorry ![]()

Thats just how TL is atm if you from US and have won 3 major tournament in 2months an after 1 week in Korea are top 30 GM with a 70% win ratio you would be a god among mortals. But if you from french and got the same result you just an overhyped scrub that will get figured out I can't even read a video game thread without hearing some over exaggerated misconception / useless bashing of my country. ![]() On the subject : who cares, he's good everyone seems to agree on that, he's probably not the best player, probably one of the best foreigners, let the kid play and enjoy nice games. Stop the flame war, let's make peace !

That's like saying Idra would be the best player in the world because if he moved to some country that held its own tournaments with no outsiders he would make a ton of money. Yeah, ESWC, IPL3, IPL4 Qualifier, Assembly Summer and Battle in Berlin which accounts for about 70k of his winnings where some awesome french only tournaments, too bad no other top players from either europe or korea participated. Edit; this thread is stupid, and so is a majority of the comments following it.

As people mentioned in this thread; note that: 1. GM ladder in Korea means nothing; it means you have a certain amount of skills but the rankings hardly matters as it's just a place to train/polishing up. or you seriously dont belive byun is the #1 player in SC2 do you? 2. There's no clear cut evidence of Stephano being the #1 player in the world or even #1 foreigner...For MVP, it's just known....Idra has stated it...Leenock/Jjakji,, MMA, Nestea, casters..it's just generally known he's the best SC2 player at this moment. Stephanos reputation is moreso, he's acknowledged as a solid player with good mechanics who's the new generation of stars into the sc2 scene but hardly striking fear into opponents. 3. If you want to debate about IPL...again...he beat koreans but they were top notch...It wasn't even that impressive as his finalist FXO_Lucky, is regarded "easy" by the SlayerS Clan, and there's been more impressive foreigner victories ala: HuK at MLG Orlando and Naniwa for MLG GI. Idra's one is debatable. 4. Yes, he practices little and if he played more, he'd be a lot better for sure! However, he wouldnt improve so much that hes stomping everyone he goes against. The transition from bronze all the way upto masters is large difference in skill cap however transitioning from Class A to Class S esque player..is just refining the very little things...minimizing mistakes, quicker reaction times and gaining starsense. 5. He's inconsistent. To be a top player, you have to have a rate of consistency...NEstea is always up there, so is MVP, MMA etc. Stephano has a large flux of ups and downs as noted his loss to Boxer at MLG Orlando, and his abysmal performance at Dreamhack.
