Please make sure to read the statement from Naniwa that is linked in the full article before commenting. |

I counter with "I heard from an anonymous source that ESFI is in the pocket of coL and is staffed by terrible writers with no morals who should be ashamed to call themselves journalists."
I hope the community really goes to town on them for this as it's not good enough and we shouldn't accept it regardless of what we think about Naniwa.
Considering ESFI has Complexity ads on every page of their website I'm not surprised to see them releasing such "unbiased" articles featuring "secret informations"...
Before this statement goes any further, we are in no way associated with ESFI's operations.

Sase and Naniwa on the same team, OP!
"ESFI:s only real sponsor is complexity gaming, they will do anything to keep them..." - Anonymous source

I'm surprised people think an anonymous source discredits ESFI as journalists. How often does ESPN use anonymous sources for stories? All the freaking time. When was the last time ESPN's journalistic credibility was brought into question? Actually, don't answer that, I can think of several instances. But really, there's major stories broken all the time by people who aren't able to give their names out for whatever reason, be it trust, safety or job security, you can't just be I AM PERSON X AND THIS IS WHAT I KNOW.

Dear god this thread is shit T_T
Good luck Naniwa and SaSe, that practise is going to pay off for sure!

According to an anonymous source you are lying. HMM i dont know who to believe now. Maybe you should get an editor like most journalism oriented business'?

This is so stupid. I myself am an asshole at work, I give my management a hard time etc etc, I was told certain things would happen when I was hired and if I didn't see these things happening I would bitch to management about it. I might be a pain in the ass but I know they won't fire me and the reason for that is I am a hard worker and do a better job then anyone else at my workplace. Sure they might have to put up with my bull shit from time to time but they realize they can't find anyone better and my absence would be a bigger issue then my attitude.
Complexity just doesn't wanna deal with a disgruntled employee even though he is better then everyone else at his job, so they pass him off to the highest bidder.. who will now benefit greatly while they sit back and emjoy their second tier team.

Maybe Naniwa can be a nice person, but how fucking BM must he be behind the scenes for his team to want to get rid of him ASAP even though he just had one of the best SC2 performances of any foreigner so far? I can't root for the guy anymore
|
A disagreement between people doesn't say anything about one party or another, it just means there was a disagreement. Glad to see Nani is pursuing his goals, even if it might mean burning a bridge or two.
Also, foreigner brotoss hwaiting! Nani and Sase gonna tear s#!^ up!
|
God, Quantic is getting so many strong players o_o SaSa and Nani training together sounds like an unbeatable combo.
|
Holy speculation batman. As stated earlier, disagreements can just be disagreements. PS if you think statements like "I can't root for the guy/team anymore" really matter to anybody involved, you're as delusional as those people who think that actual athletes lose sleep over fan reactions.

Best of luck Naniwa

No wonder IM dosn't want to be with Quantic Gaming. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!

@ Naniwa: GL with the new team; hope it's a better fit for you.
@ coL: GL getting a new, better fitting member
@ ESFI: Including the comment from an uncredited source which profers what is 99% likely to be a non-expert opinion on, essentially, Nani's mental health was flat out FUCKING RETARDED. You've been doing good work in the scene lately, don't let such stupid material into your work in the future. People are going to call you out on it.
@Jason Lake: Your statement on Reddit was inflammatory and unnecessary... Nani's explanation did no harm to your organisation's brand... If, as you say, you are sending Trimaster to Korea so very soon... how about you let that move do the talking for your organisation?

Unfortunately I have to agree. This is pretty strange, and this thread is a giant melange of shit.

i find this shitting on jason lakes comments very hypocritical, isn't reddit and teamliquid the same place people demanded more information about every other major event like the QIM breakup? He could have worded his statemeny slightly, but it doesn't change the fact he had every right and a reason TO state it.

Quantic is getting more and more sick! Best hope for Nani and coL too.

Honestly I can't believe people are criticizing nani for this. If you read his statement its laid out pretty well their and its extreamly understandable. Complexity wasn't gonna send any other players over anytime soon an I can imagine that its lonely over there being the only one like nani said. Having atleast Sase an Destiny will be over there for alittle bit as well will help alleviate that an will likely have an extreamly good impact on his game since his emotional state (cause loneliness has an impact on that) will have improved as well with others there tor elate an just chill with.

Who each have different opinions...

Honestly did you even read his statement at all?!?! Loneliness has an intense impact on one's emotional state which then is easily reflected over in daily life an gameplay. Complexity wasn't going to accommodate him even remotely. He was pretty much the only english speaking player there meaning he was isolated as hell as well. To shit on a guy cause of something like that is extreamly just dumb. Honestly it is cause no he wasn't "BM" behind the scene it was just that the team wasn't doing anything to help him over there outside of the necessities though apparently some were ignored such as making sure even simple things could be done to improve their player's mental and emotional state were kept along a healthy line. As I already said loneliness has an intense impact on ones life and being the only one over there extreamly isolated in a foreign land will have a huge impact on you. So shitting on a guy for that is just fucking disgusting.
