Please make sure to read the statement from Naniwa that is linked in the full article before commenting.

What?!? Naniwa is on a roller coaster of teams, good luck to Naniwa!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

Of particular interest is the anonymous source that says Naniwa is extremely hard to work with and believes that he actually needs professional help. In Korea when I lived there clinical therapy wasn't very common, so I don't think Naniwa will have any opportunity get professional help there. Maybe being with Sase will stabilize him somewhat?

That is so fucking pathetic to put in an anonymous source like that who is not related to any of the organisations involved. May as well take a quote from some random troll on TL...

Exactly i was used to higher quality articles on ESFI. And concerning Naniwa i think its complexiy gaming's loss. The greatest minds are often crazy, you want to be the best team you want wolves not sheep.

It could have been a nice article without an anonymous informer slinging mud, "he needs to seek professional help" sounds more like standard internet flaming than an informed opinion.

Using an anonymous source in an article completely discredits whoever edits the ESFI stories. Without a source who is willing to go on record you have nothing. What that basically means is that ESFI's journalist took a literal dump on Naniwa. For all we know that anonymous source could be the writer. How can he call himself a journalist, A statement like that CANNOT be made without having someone go on record.

This is a bit overblown...how often to major, credible news souces cite "unnamed" and "anonymous" sources? All the time actually. Also, just because they name someone does not always add credit either.

It just means to have to take it for the rumor it is, that is a lot of times how journalism works. I am not saying it is right, but it is what it is.

You said it yourself. This site isn´t a "major, credible" (journalistic) news source. And they don´t try to make it sound like a rumor but like a proven fact. This is indeed one of the worst articles to read, at least this part of it. The rest sounds ok, backed up with information and reliable sources, take it like you want.
But the said part is just completely unprofessional.

According to JP Odee and Jason Lake said pretty much the exact same thing. Add to that tournament organizers in Sweden refusing to work with him. Sure it doesn't add credibility to the article but that doesn't make it wrong. If ten thousand people tell you you are fat, chances are that you are fat.

There is a nice experiment. Basically what it does: if enough people tell you you are fat, you tend to believe it, wether you are fat or not..

Naniwa just looks awkward when he is interviewed or celebrates a win. I think he has a hard time "fitting" in with most teams.

That's why I think he keeps moving teams.

The anonymous source thing is borderline slander, it offers no information and is at best just gossip spreading.

"Some guy said Naniwa is a p.o.s."

I counter with "I heard from an anonymous source that ESFI is in the pocket of coL and is staffed by terrible writers with no morals who should be ashamed to call themselves journalists."

I hope the community really goes to town on them for this as it's not good enough and we shouldn't accept it regardless of what we think about Naniwa.

Can you cite where Complexity and DIgnitas have officially stated that naniwa needs mental help? If they have im wrong but if they havent then you are assuming. Saying pretty much the same thing and saying the same thing are two completely different things and it does make it wrong. Im not arguing whether or not it IS WRONG OR NOT. Hell all the evidence points to them being correct, its just the way they display the information is completely retarded.

Does Complexity have any top level players left now? It's interesting that they say they are committed to sc2 but have really no top players.

Maybe I'll get some flak for this, and I'll preface by saying that I do not know Naniwa personally, but it has been well known since his Warcraft 3 days, by most people who follow "behind the scenes" (i.e. team managers and owners), that Nani is one of the most bad mannered and pain in the ass players to deal with from a management standpoint.

You can call it rumor, gossip, slander, whatever you like. Go back and read the dignitas release notice, and now Complexity's. They aren't worded like that by accident. People in the know knew about his "issues" when Starcraft II was still a dream of the BW fanboy, and not much has changed since.

Naniwa's statement adds a nice shade of complexity ( =P ) to his character. I appreciate him admitting the need to be around others that he is comfortable with and I see the obvious problem: he likely didn't feel like he was synched up with Complexity given that he wasn't around his teammates. I already love Sase's play and InKa's play. This is a sweet addition.

I am sooooooooo over all the team switching. Players are more and more coming across like mercenaries, and teams don't feel like actual teams to me. At the end of the day, as a fan, this has close to zero effect on me. I wish i could care, but i have no reason to. Naniwa gets some new clothes and will change his twitter account name soon yay so exciting.

I hope the scene can sooner rather than later stabilise, and i can actually look at a team name and be able to name most if not every player on the roster. Some day.

GL HF to all involved though. And i hope to see Naniwa casting more KSL in future >_>

Considering ESFI has Complexity ads on every page of their website I'm not surprised to see them releasing such "unbiased" articles featuring "secret informations"...

its hard to get top players when alot of them are under contract. THey have to wait for contracts to expire before they can pick up some big names.

Notice how tho like any foreigner that shows promise they pick up right away?

Makes a lot of sense with the focus Quantic is putting on Korea since that's where Naniwa wants to be training. Quantic is going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2012.

Didnt realize he actually had a softer side to him then what he shows off most of the time. Its good that he wanted to be closer to friends and either team is a great place for him, he should do just fine.
