Gotta say the same: gretorp sux as a caster and you suffer from that. once you get a good co-caster, you'll get the big invitees

I think I might have noticed this with almost all casters (minus Tastosis) - in order to sound excited, a lot of casters modulate their voice/tone SO much that it sounds "acted." Even Day[9] falls into this trap. Gretorp is a prime example of this - since he can't really project enough, he pitches his voice in an exaggerated way.

Listen to your previous casts and see if you feel that way about any of your casts. Sometimes the issue is just letting go - speak how you would normally speak person-to-person instead of your stage voice.

Great job! You're one of my favorite casters by far

Overall I think your casting is extremely good. As others have said, my only advice is to add more of your own personality into the casts. An unbias caster is always good, but sometimes its nice to have more excitement and flavor in the cast instead of just purely analyzing the game. However if you were matched with someone that had a different casting style (like DJwheat instead of Gretorp) it would be almost perfect <3.

Man, your solo cast for the korean weeklies are just awesome. It's always a pleasure to listen to your commentary. (especially on my maps :p )

Yep definitely. You also talk fast, but it's fun to listen to. I think you're the fastest SC2 commentator.

I love how he does that. It's the same thing Husky does and I think it's an easy way to add excitement to the game (talk fast and a little louder). My favourite part about Orb is his ability to speak really quickly while still articulating perfectly. It's not an easy thing to do.

Like the others say though, just allow for a little humor to occur at times rather than always being 'professional' about things.

you need to work with your co caster more you kinda solo cast even when your with someone else otherwise good voice and probably the best lesser known caster
for there to be pro there has to be noob.

I absolutely love your analysis. I think all you need to do is avoid the speed solocasting spurts and leave that to co-casters and focus more on the analysis. Also a little bit of humor doesn't hurt but I guess you are just a serious person, You probably need more practice dual casting (hopefully with good co-casters). I won't outright bash gretorp but lets just say I'm not the biggest fan.

As a spectator combos like Day9 + Husky or Day9 + DJWheat appeal to me the most because even when they screw up they are just ALWAYS entertaining to listen to and compliment each other very well. But I guess you can never have that sort of chemistry on the first attempt. Anyway, LOVE your casting and hope+want to see you at more events.

Think you need to losen up abit. Becomes very dull(sp?) and dry after a couple of matches, predictable as well. Your knowledge of the game is fine I guess.

Your casting and analysis is really good but you get kinda fast during large engagements. I undetstand you are trying to build excitment but it can get hard to understand at times

I really like that you're not one of the "OMG SCREAAAAM" casters. That's imho stupid & a big turnoff. Overall I really enjoy your casting.

One thing you could improve though is to work with your cocasters better. Give them airtime - even when they say stupid things. Only interrupt them when it's really necessary (which is almost never the case).

But in all seriousness I have always enjoyed your casting ever since I first saw you solo casting the Korean weekly. You do not have the benefit of casting with the same co caster over and over again (yet) as some of the other more prominent casters which is unfortunate because I think with the right co-caster you could instantly be another S-tier duo that every tournament is clamoring to hire.

did not read all of the comments, but i do like the tone of your voice, it's not edgy ! i personally do not care if you're biased or not knowledgable or whatever, i do like to listen to your commentating, esp while i play other games. as background commentator (like in a radio station), you are fantastic. keep it up, but please do not fall into that trap that is "omgOMGHEDIDSOMETHINGOMGOMGHELLWILLBREAKLOSE"' as you lately tend to do. you're great at what you do, do not overextend it please

Orb is the best caster outside of Tastosis, Day[9] and Apollo imo.

Just speak up a little bit. Sometimes you're too quiet.

You don't have to try to show personality in a way that isn't you. Just be yourself and continue your amazing analysis and genuine excitement.
