Creative soundblaster has some pretty good headsets, I know catz and several others use those.

I would suggest a pair of sennheiser pc350s. Then once you get them, take the earpieces apart and remove the piece of foam that they put over the driver to make it sound worse than the 360s. Both the 350 and the 360 use the same driver.

The steelseries v2 is not a very good headset for the price. Everyone calls it comfy put to me it fits loosely and the sound quality isn't very great. The whole headset feels very cheap. I would highly recommend sennheisers. High quality sound, great fit, and very durable. I've been using the HD 280 for DJ/studio work for almost 3 years and they're still great. You can find them on amazon for around $80. If you're looking into casting, I'd recommend you get headphones and a mic that are separate.

Don't get Creative... I have had two different headsets from them:

Fatality and Tactic Sigma.

I don't want a mic on mine because I want to be able to use them with my iPhone, so I went with Sony MDR-XB500s. Really good sound quality, and because they aren't noise canceling, I feel like the sound quality is better because of the fact that the actual speakers inside of them are bigger and better. But what do i know, I just like extra bass and universal ability to utilize costly hardware :D :D

Hmm, thanks for the suggestions guys =) keep em coming!

I decided to try out a couple of other options in the mean time to see which one gives a better setup: AKG headphones together with a couple of AT mics, got a Blue bird and a Zoom H4N. I have also been checking out the Blue Snowball and it seems to have a few mic direction settings (mainly cardioid and omni directional) which could solve the noise issue. Might pick one up from a local store next week or the week after when I'm done testing the other set ups =)

I just bought a set of sennheiser PC 360 headphones. Really good, but above your budget. If you could save up for these babies you won't regret them.

I use ATH-M50 and a Zalman clip-on. The mic costs like $10 but has the best sound quality out of any headset I've ever tried. Btw, to the guy preaching Turtles, please don't compare cost-efficiency to Bose/Beats LOL.
