India has the top 4 highest population density in the world (seoul is 6th) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_proper_by_population
They are 2nd world country if I am not mistaken though. not sure how many of them have computers (or play starcraft).
We welcome all people to starcraft though. I do not discriminate on who's ass i will whoop on the ladder, i hand out beatings regardless of homeland
India could certainly be an untapped resource though. If starcraft was their first introduction and garnered a bit of a following in india, their population could definitely provide for a couple new pro players on the scene

Indias population is almost 25 times that of South Korea, the potential playerbase is huge. I'm not sure what seoul had to do with this and i'd hardly call India a second world country. They're by and large really intelligent, a really huge economy compared to most nations and are growing at an almost ridiculous rate, inequality is an issue but still.

um.. the reason i brought up seoul is because you know.. people play starcraft there.. pretty well if i'm not mistaken? and they like.. have a lot of people who watch it.. enough to support it as a viable industry.
i guess according to wikipedia, india is actually a third world country, sorry for my mistake in assumign they had stepped it up a level: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_World
that map is probably flawd though. i would find it hard to believe SK is a third world country (as it has been labeled)
my statement made no reference to any assumptions regarding their inteligence. It was more of an inference that they may not have the techonological capabilities to adopt SC2 to a level that is has been adopted in ohter areas of the world

I think they will host smaller tournaments in other countries and the winners will get free travel, stay and an invite for the next MLG, like IPL has done for IPL4.

They do, they're not a third world country... for the second time, the only sense that they were at one point third world was by using the idea of allignment to explain the divisions of worlds, and during the 50s they were "third world" by that term, because they were primarily non-alligned until they were forced to allign with the USSR (which would then even make them 2nd world). You provided a link that talked about allignment policies not the typical 1st/3rd world division. Seoul is just the capital, comparing population density seems rather pointless, when in fact India is 25 times bigger in terms of population. Yes one city in one country in the world watches alot of sc2, how does their size and population compared to another cities have any reflection upon how the country would work with e sports, especially when utterly ignoring the overarching fact that that country is vastly more populous than the other.

india could be a nice "neutral" MLG Asia place.
Its next to China somewhat and the distance to South Korea and SEA is kind of acceptable might be some kind of qualifier or whatever :D
€: although Malaysia would make more sense in that regard :/

More locations, and going to have international events.

are you trolling me?
how is population density not relevant? it would take you days to drive across the entire country to watch a live MLG event. Population density is very important when planning the location for a live event
That is probably one of the biggest reasons why there was nearly no turnout for NASL (even though Ontario is only a couple hours away from LA)
Also, india is a developing coutnry. If I had to bet my last dollar one way or the other, i certainly wouldnt put it on india being a 1st world country.
India has a lot of poverty if i am not mistaken. Many probably dont have TVs or computers to watch starcraft. Again though.. i really dont know, just saying what my impressions of the country are.

UK MLG? Count me there! :O
If you were to bring it to London and bring Day9 along with you, it might happen to be the best thing to happen next year (yes it'll be better than the Olympics)!

Making MLG a world tour would be badass. The hype would be insane.

i Hope it doesnt change too drastically... I mean I loved playing in the National Championship and I'd hate to lose stuff like that...

maybe they'll call it the world championship... i think they'll keep that part of MLG in some form or fashion. technically MLG winners are not just national champions anymore, as many of the past winners for sc2 are not from the US.

That would be good in so many ways, doesnt having to bother with those streamsniping bitches like deezer.

I cannot see an MLG in India, it simply does not make sense as there is almost no SC2 scene there. Sure population density is nice, but when very few people in the country play SC2, the result will still be low-turnout. Sweden has a low population density, but since Esports is strong there, they can fill stadiums like at Dreamhack.
MLG Canada is more likely and would already be a huge step.

I like the ladder idea so i would like to see that, not huge on the on tv bit unless they get actual casters like Artosis, Day[9], and such not these station hired guys who know almost nothing of the game. Though for some predictions maybe make it alittle more far flung world wide but not too far from home maybe yea like some Canadian locations (i.e. Calgery, Ottawa, and Montreal to name a couple) Like one no more then 2 a year an on opposite ends of Canada so like Vancouver and Montreal or something.
Dream Tour: Vegas (Nothing like starting the yaer with a bang :D) Vancouver (To keep with the Canadian idea) Chicago (Gotta hit mid america so here ya go ) Then to Miami Then nothwards to Canada again w/ Montreal An then the Championship in NYC (No place bigger then to end the year in NYC So many people would come out it would be mind numbing )
I think that would be the best line up since it hits the west coast, middle america, the east coast, and both ends of Canada so as to draw in fans from all over the continent like they did this year I dont know just my ideas and predictions
(Sorry if it's a bit hard to read, im notorious for my grammar and run on sentences )
