Maybe a stupid question, but when does this patch hit NA? I don't believe the OP said. Will it come on tomorrow? They usually do stuff on Tuesday right?

TvP will be bad until HoTS if they actually make it possible to play something else then Bio in macrogames.

Don't think i'll be playing much many TvP macrogames anymore though. Bio never felt right in TvP anyway.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by TvP being bad until HotS?

As far as HotS goes, it looks like they're going to be perfecting mech and throwing in the Shredder just to add insult to injury, making "the most well-rounded race" even more well-rounded, so you'll probably have plenty of new innovative bio or mech builds to choose from in HotS.

And then I'd assume that LotV would introduce extra starport units, all of which are as good as, if not better than, the banshee... allowing Terrans to go air builds if they feel like it Because hey, why not?

More stuff for me to replicate.

not complaining im a happy toss but the only thing here that makes me really happy in emp radious, the upgrades arent like free still cost a lot but all around nice patch for toss, My life for auir!

TvP is just not fun to play . What i hate most that only 1 unit comp is valid unless you cheese. There's basically 5 useful Terran Units in long macro games MMM/Ghosts/Vikings the rest is just gimmicky or near useless unless you push fast with it or get years of time.

Protoss has alot more variation if the chose to use it. Only 1 Techtree is kinda bad against Terran and thats Stargate. For Terran its 2 of 3 Techtrees that just suck against Toss

Not that I agree with that. Mech and Air do work in TvP, depending on the level of play and the map, etc.

A little bit off topic, but I think a good way to fix snipe would be if it had a ~0.5 second channeling period that can be interrupted.

Mech and Air rarely work and are always worse then Bio once the opponent sees your unit composition. Mech and Air are way easier countered and are alot harder to replace if you start to lose units. They just are not more cost effecient then Bio even though they are more expensive.

What i'm saying is that TvP is not fun to play for me so if i could thumps down to never play against Protoss i would do that.
I hate playing Bio but unless i try to kill the opponent early i have to play it.

That's 5 units from 2 of 3 tech-trees (Barracks and Starport).

Isn't Zea/Stalk/Colossus/HT/Archon pretty much every endgame Toss ball in TvP? 5 units from 2 of the 3 tech-trees? Even if you throw in Immortals, 6 kinds of units vs. 5 doesn't strike me as a "lot more variation."

Also, it is at least possible to go a totally different path for Terran (see: Goody) with Thor/Banshee/Hellion. There is no second composition for Toss; it's just ZSCHAI every game.

Watched a game last week between MC and MVP on Metalopolis where MC had a 30-40 supply lead after an early attack. MVP turtled, managed to barely survive, got a bunch of ghosts and destroyed the Toss +40 food army when MC attacked a couple minuted later - in large part due to blanket EMP's.

That game made me a believer that the ghost needed an adjustment. But, I don't believe your going to see a huge change in code 'S'. Even if balance is restored between the races, I think there's more talent playing Terran right now at that level in Korea. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like.

I get the feeling Protoss players are a little in the wilderness as to what the best strategy IS and how their race should be played. When do you make Colossus? When do I add warp prism play? Whats the proper timing and role of DT's? Where as T & Z appear to be more settled.

I'd like to get others opinions on Protoss strategy? Are Terran and Zerg more settled in their strats than Toss?
