It's a pretty good chance that players like Flash, Jaedong, Bisu are gonna be good and probably even great, but trying to do a ranking like this is somewhat ridiculous. Some BW players might not catch on or be inspired by SC2...also I think it's a good chance a lot of them will change races.
If you can start a new game and you're playing to be a pro and win in something like the GSL..how likely are you to pick Protoss right now?

Blizzard will balance the game. So eventually Protoss will be able to compete against any race.
It would be interesting to see Flash as Protoss. Jaedong as Protoss. Bisu as Terran though
And think of it this, most people in D/D-/E categories can hit diamond (friend is keyboard rank and high Diamond).
I keep hearing this kinda shit and it pisses me off. I managed to hit C- on iccup with toss, D+ with zerg, but i cant break into diamond with any race in sc2. Its ridiculous
so you're saying that the 2 games that we played since waaaay back last year, you haven't improved at all? lol.
Well i got into diamond for a little while and then dropped back to plat, got frustrated, switched to random. plat 4ever
Wow, just wow. Something to take note of here is just how *long* they were stuck in platinum.
You mean because ladders were locked :p
No no you dont understand, BW players are obviously overhyped and thus took a long time getting out of plat. duh, its not like they're comparable to sc2 players after all!
No, you don't understand. They were in platinum until the teams upgraded their equipment.
I'm sorry, i thought i was being pretty clearly sarcastic/mocking with that post, but apparently its hard to convey that without a voice

I was joking as well, attributing BW pro players' ascent into the Master league to their new computers and monitors instead of their skill.

Jaedong will always by zerg, Flash terran, Bisu protoss etc.
It's gonna feel weird if any of them are race switching.
I doubt that would happen. None of the bigger name BW players switched races, I don't think. Boxer still T, July still Z, Nada still T, Nestea still Z, MVP still T, and Yellow would have still been Z if he had continued. Only pros that might switch are the Protoss... but nah. Once a Brotoss, always a Brotoss. Aiur4lyfe. Or well, my life for Aiur. Same diff.

I wouldnt be so sure. Currently, it appears to everyone (other than terran players on TL, obviously) that terran is the more successful race. Some may choose to switch to terran for the new game after seeing the recent GSLs

ya I still remember day9 using hydralisks in ZvT against tasteless in beta and how everyone was surprised about muta baneling used in ZvT
Looking at the list of the top 500 master players in Korea, there are actually an alarmingly large amount of players with odd profiles, some of which were mentioned a few pages ago.
We're talking about master league accounts with less than 100 career wins. We've got master league accounts that were in gold and platinum last season.
There's a possibility that these are smurf accounts or just people that have gotten better, but the sheer number of accounts I'm finding, even beyond what was listed earlier, is nothing short of unbelievable.

I'd guess that every B teamer and practice partner on almost every team is being told to prepare in case proleague decides to add sc2. Thats a whole fuckton of people, could possibly account for that?

That's what I'm saying here.
You can look at their all-time stats on SC2ranks and see how that account has progressed, and a lot of these accounts were just made in the last two weeks. Some of them in late September, but most of them only at the end of Season 3.
Most of the accounts are in Korean, except for a few. Like this one. (lol)

I could see Bisu switching his race because SC2 Protoss doesn't do a very good job of utilizing the skill that has made BIsu a highly successful player. Terran or Zerg more effectively make use of high multitasking ability and Bisu above anyone else does that.
